10. Chapter

Day after day passing, it becomes weeks and month and soon enough the Werner's found themselves at a Christmas gala. Liony is invited, taking Mickey as her company and Timothy together with Paul and an alpha from the transportation department are there as well, less as accompany, more for company reason but it only matters when it comes to the walk on the red carpet, what is right now. Timothy, Paul and Jorden are waiting with the bodyguard at the end of it, while Mickey leads Liony over. A lot of paparazzi and journalist are standing behind the barrier and screaming questions and instruction towards the 14-year-old twins. The bodyguard and Timothy eying the CEO carefully, even that the environment is kind of safe with the barrier and Mickey on her side.

"Mrs. Werner look here!" "Over here!" "Is it true that you think about buying Syco Entertainment?" "Look here!" "Mrs. Werner!" "Why you doesn't bring an omega as date?" "Here, look here!"

Liony finds it annoying, but she smiles, while having her arm link in Mickey's. At the end of the red-carpet Mickey leads her to journalist that she chooses before, knowing that it would only being the right thing to do at least one interview before entering the event. The beta man in with the microphone is having not only a camera man with him, also another alpha is standing close eying the journalist and Liony immediately knows that he is there to make sure the beta doing his job in the favour of the company he works for. It annoys the young CEO the media firms she contacted and allow them to interview her with the condition that it will be Roman, feel the need that the beta isn't good enough to deal with this on his own. Yeah, she gets that she is important, but she is sure that if Roman would be an alpha, he wouldn't have to deal with an extra journalist on his side.

"Thanks for sparing time for an interview Mrs. Werner" the beta starts and Liony can feel that he's nervous. Therefore, she smiles at him, hoping it would make him relax a little and her plan works.

"First I want personal congratulate you for leading the company as successful as you do." The girl knows that it is genus and thanks him.

"The Werner company have double there among since you became the CEO. Do you think it will go in this tempo further?"

Liony smiles at Roman: "I have a lot of plans for the future, if everything works is questionable, but I'm sure it will have an influence societal and company wise."

"Speaking about social influence, you're seen as a roll model from a lot of people who aren't exactly doing what is expected from them. What do you think about it? Do you like to encourage them, or do you think they're overstepping boundaries?"

"I see every human being as an equal member of society, and everyone should be able to case after there dreams if it doesn't include harming others."

"So, you are being ok that your face is used in the protests for gender equality" Roman asks again.

Liony knows exactly what the beta is talking about, getting a flashback to all the events that happened since she announced that she isn't a male, like everyone expect her to be. She knows about the protests in front of the government, they were one of the peaceful once, but in the news are a lot of protest and not all of them are only including sitting or standing with signs and whistles. Some getting violent, not only inducted by passing male alphas or authority, some also because of the protesting.

"I know that dreams don't know genders" Liony smiles. "I'm for gender equality, but I don't want to encourage anyone in going out to the protest. For a lot of people, it isn't safe there right now and safety is coming first and second, I don't want that the society changing in the opposite like one or the other protesters screaming for. This world should be running equally by every gender not in favour of one, doesn't matter with one."

After some more exchange about this topic, the journalist changing back to the Werner business. "There's a rumour going around about you're interested in investigate in Syco entertainment after you were seen a lot around their office last weeks. Could you tell what is going on between the two companies?"

"There is still a lot discussion needed and before a contract is signed by both parties I'm not telling anything" Liony says with a wink. The beta laughs, while the alpha behind seems dump stuck, not getting that the 14-year-old have indeed answered the question.

"Your older brother Timothy often accompanies you to this meeting, is he getting involved in the business?"

"He's great with noticing talents when it comes to music and I like to know his opinion on any musicians that crosses the company's part. He isn't a businessman and will only give me a recognition if he thinks there is someone worth of getting a contract or anything from the music departure of the company. He's in no position to make a final decision or anything that involves business matters and we both want it to stay like that." It's the trues, Timothy doesn't feel confidence in making any decision and Liony knowing full well that her older brother have no idea about leading a company not even a part of a company and therefore Liony has made him the main advisor in the music department without any real power.

"At last I have one personal question" Roman says, getting nervous as he says. Liony nods, knowing that it isn't probably the betas idea to ask whatever he has to as next. "You're real young for a CEO, but a lot of alphas starting to court in your age. Seeing you have brought your brother with you, isn't there any omega or beta you're interested in?" The interviewers voice is getting quiet to the end and Liony knows that he is afraid of overstepping boundaries. Liony notice that Mickey is tense and ready to growl at the poor man with the microphone, but the girl smiles saying: "There is a lot going on in my life especially after our father died out of sudden and I'm sure I will find my mate at one point but I'm definitive not ready for that at the time."

"Wouldn't a mate be helpful for you? Why you don't take one soon?" the alpha behind Roman voiced out. Before Liony can stop her twin, Mickey growls at him, but the alpha knows that nothing more than getting growled at will happen to him here and ask further: "Or do you not searching for an omega because you plan on mating together with your brother?"

With that Mickey's eyes are changing to a dangerous red, growling deep, what makes everyone around turning towards the young twins. The camera capture also how Liony's eyes changing but it doesn't go as far that her iris getting completely red. "You are not speaking like that to her" Mickey's deep voice rings through the silent that had started after the deep growl. Mickey has stepped in front of the CEO, getting closer to the alpha, cursed the barrier between them, because he is ready to rip the head from the body to get rid of someone rude like him. He doesn't even notice, how Roman has stepped back in fear. But then Liony's hands rubbing his arms and he cools down a little, still in alpha mode.

"I'm sure I didn't agree to get interviewed by you, therefore you overstepping your boundaries and this will have consequence for you and whoever you're working for, but I feel kind enough to answer your question." The young CEO inhales deeply before saying: "Mickey and me growing up in circumstances that no one will ever fully understand and therefore we're close and protective over each other, but no way in hell I would ever be able to share a mate with him. And a mate isn't there for being helpful, that are workers for, who get payed for it. A mate is someone to love and giving love in return, no matter of gender, job or money."

With that the girl grapes Mickey's arm and turns around towards the entrance where her workers, including Timothy are standing.
