SEVEN

Here are some reasons why I don't want to live in a huge mansion just like Wolfgang Allen's: (1) If you were just, let's say, two people living there it would be harder to see each other. I bet if you were playing hide and seek, it would take a day and everyone would get bored and just show up their self at the meeting place. (2) It would take a whole lot of time and energy to clean. Except, of course, if you are pretty rich and could hire dozen of maids to clean up your mess, (3) If you are a guest, you could easily get lost because of countless corridors, hallways, and rooms; and (4) I couldn't find the bathroom and I needed to pee so badly.

I didn't even know why I needed to use the bathroom. I mean, I only drank one can of diet coke and I'd peed before heading out here earlier. So I had no idea why my bladder was protesting wildly right now. I'd left Chelsea, Aaron and a few friends earlier on the back deck as they were busy playing foosball.

The living room was still crowded by people dancing; I easily maneuvered and found myself into another part of the house

"Let's recycle everyone, recycle. Don't just throw your cups and cans everywhere; put it here for goodness sake!"

Proton West, a blonde and lanky boy who was also known as the Marysville High's student body president, was walking around the room with a huge garbage bag on his hand. I think he was implementing his recycling campaign. Proton is a big environmentalist.

"Excuse me; do you know where the bathroom is?" I asked a random guy who was leaning on the banister, talking to another girl. I was already clutching my bladder in front of me, my legs twisting and untwisting as I controlled the urged to pee.

He just shrugged and continued talking to the girl.

Seriously, Wolf's house was so big they had like two living rooms or something. If the first one earlier was transformed into a pub, this one was more into the chill side; where people just sat on the sofas and couches and talk.

"Excuse me," I said to a blonde girl with a high pony tail as I passed her. She was sitting on a chair alone at the corner of the room with a ball of red yarn on her lap and was knitting which I assumed to be a scarf.

Who goes to a party and knit?

She paused what she was doing and looked up at me. I asked, "Do you know where the bathroom is?"

"No, sorry," she replied, and continued knitting.

I groaned internally and almost ran as I exit the room. I was half running on the hallway, both of my hands were still clutching on my bladder when I bumped into someone which caused his beer to spill a little bit on his shirt.

"Sorry!" I said, halting immediately and I looked up and saw Eddie Walker standing in front of me with pissed expression on his face while patting his white shirt that was now soaked slightly with beer.

"Why are you running in the hallway?" he asked, shaking his head.

"I'm looking for a bathroom," my words came out in rushed as I squeezed my legs. "Do you know where it is?"

He looked at me in amusement for a second. Then: "Yeah, follow me," he said, turning around. And I followed after him to another part of the Allen's mansion which was unoccupied by guest. We entered into another living room. This one has as sleek modern type theme.

"Where's is it?" I asked impatiently. I couldn't see a door from here that would lead to the bathroom.

Oh God, I thought. Please don't let me pee in my skirt.

I watched as Eddie walked towards that wall, near the fireplace, and pushed something on it that a part of the wall swung open – a secret door. He stepped aside and I looked at him in amazement as I saw a glimpsed of the toilet inside.

"How did you know about that?" I asked, half stunned-half annoyed because that's why nobody knows where the bathroom was because it was hidden behind a freaking wall. I wondered how many bathroom I'd passed earlier without noticing it.

"Every big house has them, Emi," he replied, rolling his eyes at me behind his dark rimmed eyeglasses like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Oh right – thanks," I said quickly, going inside and shut the door.

Moments later, I went out and saw Eddie sitting on the sleek black couch, reading one of the magazines from the coffee table about architecture.

"Better?" he asked, lowering the reading material on his lap to glance at me.

"Yeah, thanks again," I muttered, letting out a satisfying sighed as I plopped next to him. "Anyway, I thought you said you wouldn't come."

"I changed my mind." He shrugged, returning the magazine on the table to pick up his cup of beer. "And Proton wanted a company for his recycling campaign so he dragged me here."

"Oh yeah, I saw him earlier. But what are doing here? Aren't you supposed to be there?"

"In case you didn't notice its crazy back there," he muttered, imbibing his drink. "I just wanted to find some peace."

I huffed out a laughed. "Yeah, this party is so crazy. It's no wonder Wolfgang Allen like to have this huge senior party...his house is so big! He could obviously accommodate like all the Marysville High here."

"Yeah, I guess."

A spell of silence enveloped us after that. Then: "I should probably head back now. I'm pretty sure Chelsea is looking for me already." I stood up and fixed my skirt. "You could hang out with us."

"Maybe later," Eddie said, putting his cup back down on the table.

"Alright." I nodded and shrugged."We'll be just at the back deck."

When I finally returned back to my friends, they were all laughing about something. It seemed that Aaron was drunk and was now standing on top of the table twerking.

"Oh my God," I said, laughing as Aaron stuck out his tongue in a Miley Cyrus fashion while continuing to twerk. Some of our friends: Daniel Tookey, Cass Kuniz, and Astrid Potter was filming and taking pictures of him on their phone while laughing their butts off.

"What took you so long?" Chelsea asked me, her eyes were filled with tears because of laughter.

"It took me ages to find the bathroom," I replied. "It's a good thing I bumped into Eddie and he showed it to me."

"He's here too?"

"Yeah, he told me he's here with Proton West."

"Did Electron come too?" My best friend's almond-shaped eyes sparkled as she mentioned her crush's name.

"I don't know, Chels. Maybe. He never mentioned him. But he's probably here too."

Chelsea and I looked around the place but we couldn't see the specific blonde boy my best friend had been crushing since sophomore year.

"Maybe he didn't come," Chelsea said, her face fell a little.

"Or maybe he's just inside and—"

There was a sudden crash and Chelsea and I turned swiftly and saw that Aaron was no sprawled on the ground. I covered both of my hands on my mouth as I let out a laugh while my friends continued to take a video and picture of him.

"Is he alright?" Chelsea asked, but she was chuckling.

"Guys my hands are floating!" Aaron suddenly exclaimed, raising his arms into the air and stared at his hands in wonder. "Look! Guys! My hands are totally floating!"

We doubled in laughter.

A few moments later, we got Aaron settled down on a chair and he immediately fell asleep and started snoring.

"Who wants to play a game?" the voice of Wolfgang Allen echoed from the raised platform underneath tree house. He was standing there holding something from his hands that I couldn't see clearly and standing beside him was Tyler Hall, munching on a bag of hot Cheetos. "It'll be fun!"
