"Alright, the game is called Suck and Blow," Wolfgang Allen said, speaking loudly for everyone's benefit. Most of the people outside immediately stopped talking and a few people in the pool pulled their selves up and sat at the edge.
I watched Timothy Burr pulled himself out of the pool and ran a hand on his blonde hair, shaking the water out which splattered on the ground. Water droplets glistened on his chest, down on his solid rock six pack abs and I think I was not the only one swooning on my feet as other girls near him had their eyes set on him too.
"This is how you'll play it for those people who don't know," Wolfgang Allen continued, chuckling quietly to himself while throwing a quick glance towards Tyler Hall who was still helping himself with the hot Cheetos. "Basically, we will be forming a circle in boy-girl-boy-girl order. And then we will have one card to pass around using our mouths." He raised his hand in the air and now I could finally see that he was holding a deck of cards.
"The first person will suck the card to stick on his or her lips then will blow it to the next person while he or she sucks it and so on. If the card drops while passing, both people are eliminated."
When Wolfgang Allen finally finished talking, everyone started to have a discussion and began forming the circle around the pool. Some were even yelling for their friends.
"We should play," Chelsea said excitedly, grabbing my arm and shaking it wildly like a kid in Disneyland trying to show her parents a ride.
"What about Aaron?" Astrid asked when we started to walk towards where most people were arranging their selves, looking back at the dark-haired boy snoring on one of the lounge chairs. Aaron was really passed out.
"He's asleep, As," Daniel said, "He wouldn't even miss us."
"Eddie!" I exclaimed when I saw Eddie Walker came out from the back door, surveying the scene outside. His eyes found mine and he deliberately walked towards us.
"We're gonna play a game," I said as soon he was near, nodding my head to the people around the pool. "You should join us."
"Yeah, it's going to be fun!" Chelsea said, nodding her head at Eddie.
"I'll just stay here," Eddie replied, putting his hands on the pocket of his black jacket.
I rolled my eyes. "Eddie, don't be such a downer. C'mon!" I grabbed his arm without warning and pulled him together with us as we made our way towards the pool. He tried to pull his arm away but I tightened my grip on him.
He was frowning at me as I finally let go of him, putting his hand back in his jacket as he stood next to me. Chelsea was standing next to Eddie, then Daniel, Astrid, a boy I recognized from my English class, and then Cass.
Chelsea was giving me a thumbs-up when someone bumped me behind my back which caused me to lose my balance. But before I even plummeted down into the pool, someone caught me on the waist.
"Whoa there."
I looked up and my heart suddenly lurched into a somersault when I saw that it was Timothy Burr. Our faces were only inches apart and I never would have thought that he looked this so good up close. He was, of course, shirtless. And I took the chance to somehow, accidentally, brushed my hands on his bare stomach.
"You okay?" he asked, straightening us up on our feet as I stared at him with wide eyes. His ocean blue eyes meeting my coffee brown ones. "Sorry about that." His arm was still tucked on my waist and I felt like there were thousands of butterflies fluttering inside my stomach.
"Yeah, I'm good," I finally said, and I congratulated myself mentally for forming a reply in a state of daze.
He smiled, making the dimples on his right cheek more prominent and pulled himself away from me.
