If it takes Chaeyoung more than one try to unlock her door, because the goddamn key just refused to get into the lock, she blames it on drinking during dinner.

Nevermind she only had one glass of wine and didn't even finish it.

Even being absolutely honest with herself, Chaeyoung can only just admit that Lisa is the reason why she can't get such an easy task done without making a fool of herself in the process.

Lisa, the little devil, had spent most of dinner with her legs crossed in a way they'd touch Chaeyoung's every time she adjusted her position, peppering in some innuendos that made Chaeyoung roll her eyes as much as it made an uncomfortable heat crawl up her sides. Well, it was only uncomfortable because she couldn't do anything about it, and the ache on the apex of her thighs only grew stronger as the meal went on. Between bites of roasted vegetables and grilled fish, Chaeyoung managed to give as good as she got – her words not quite covert, she thinks back proudly at making Lisa choke once.

They had been halfway through the main course when Lisa suggested taking their dessert on a to-go container, checking the time. That was enough to tell Chaeyoung their minds were in the same place – Jake's nanny is staying late so they could have their date, but Lisa had promised she'd be home no later than eleven. With that in mind, Chaeyoung said she had made tiramisu and they could just go to her place so they could eat it.

Which, truthfully, had been just a thinly veiled excuse to get Lisa into bed.

Chaeyoung had made tiramisu – with homemade ladyfingers and mascarpone cream made from scratch, thank you very much.

But she wants Lisa.

Fuck , she wants Lisa.

They've been taking it slow from the beginning, and that didn't stop after their first time together. What they have now is almost the polar opposite of what they had six years ago – back then, it was all sex and barely any talk, definitely no public dates. Now, they talk a lot more – about their day, about what their plans for the weekend, about their childhood imaginary friends, about their most terrifying experiences. And they spend a good chunk of their free time together, with Jake filling any silences – he's grown to adore Chaeyoung, calling her his official drawing partner, which left Lisa pouting.

For the sake of taking things slow, they had gone to the movies. The plan had a major design flaw, because what teenager never snuck into a boring movie simply to sit on the back and make out for two straight hours? (Lisa. Lisa had never done that.) But it sounded like a good idea when Chaeyoung bought two tickets for something half interesting and asked Lisa to go with her – if they ended up kissing during the lulls in between the good parts of the movie, that's just what happens sometimes.

It didn't shock Chaeyoung in the least when Lisa admitted that she hadn't gone to the movies for a non-animated film in almost four years. Lisa would take plays and museum trips over a movie any day, and she'd only been to the movies a couple times in the last year to take Jake so he could have the same contact with popular culture as his friends from kindergarten.

Of course Lisa got much more into the whole endeavour than Chaeyoung had anticipated. From ordering the large popcorn – with extra butter, because why not? – to staying to the end of the credits, Lisa had been completely involved with the experience. Chaeyoung couldn't complain, not when Lisa would lean in to whisper some remark about the movie, or ask something she hadn't quite understood.

Movie, then dinner. Then laying out their intentions as clearly as the romantic atmosphere of the restaurant allowed them to.

Chaeyoung didn't even wait for the cab to get there for her to chuck it as a fantastic date. One that was bound to only get better.
