Chapter 45

Star's POV

"You called me because?" I asked.

"To check up on my girl" Jalen's toxic self said as we were on FaceTime.

"I'm not your girl J" I say to him.

"You know you'll always be my girl, no matter who's in the picture" he says putting his hoodie over his head. He just came from practice and felt like calling me. 

"That's not a good thing, it shows where your loyalty is at" I say to him.

"I am loyal to you. When I'm with another girl I don't fuck them. This dick is all yours" he says winking at me. I shake my head at him laughing.

"You're something else" I said and we started laughing.

"But honestly, how are you?" He asks.

"I'm good, just here. Focusing on school and all. I got a lot of stuff happening for me next month so I'm preparing for that" I say to him.

"Oooo a project?" He asks.

"Yessir" I said nodding.

"I'm proud of you, your hard work will pay off" he says and I smiled.

"Thank you, but how about you? How's the G League?"

"It's good, just getting ready for our games. The guys on that team are lit though. I'm happy that I made the decision to go" he says.

"Well I'm happy that you're happy" I said smiling at him. He smiled back and just stared.

As I'm sitting there, Storm rushes into the house and zooms up the stairs. I then hear her door slam. What the hell?

"Jalen I'm gonna have to call you back. Something is up with Storm" I say to him.

"Yea of course. I'll talk to you later? Tell Storm I say hey" he says.

"Alright, bye Jalen" I say waving at him.

"Bye Star" he says winking before hanging up. I smiled to myself before pushing my phone in my pocket. I got up and was about to walk upstairs, when I hear the front door open.

"Hey Star, I'm so tired. Do you mind giving me a foot massage?" Heaven says walking in. I give her a weird look and she laughs.

"Do I look like Shareef to you? Girl rub ya own dang feet" I say and proceed to walk upstairs. I walk to Storm's door and knock.

"Hey Storm, you ok?" I ask her. She's quiet for a bit before answering.

"Mhm, I'm a-all good" she says very fast. I roll my eyes and walk in her room.

"Girl you know you can't hide nothing from me. You better spill" I say to her. I look at her and she looked very scared. She played with her fingers and breathed a little hard. She's not a good liar, like at all.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask and rub her shoulder.

"You're gonna hate me so much Star" she says and her eyes start to get glossy.

"Did you eat my food?" I ask her and she face palms.

"What? No. Of course not. You would've noticed long time" she says and I let out a little laugh.

"Guys this food is so good, want some?" Heaven says walking in. We turn to look at her and I gasp seeing her eat my leftovers.

"Excuse me fat ass, this is mine" I say snatching my food from her. Just cause we are sisters doesn't mean what's mine is yours and what's yours is mine.

"Storm you ok boo?" Heaven says looking at her.

"I'm fine, really" she says and bites her lip.

"You're not a good liar you know that" Heaven says causing me to laugh. Told ya.

"You guys are making me nervous. Can we all just have a seat?" She says and we nod. I take a seat in her hanging chair and Heaven sits beside her on the bed. I look at my food and take a wing. Oooo delicious.

"Ok, tell us what's up" Heaven says. Storm was about to open her mouth until her phone rang. She picks it and sighs before answering.

"Hey Josh, what's up" she says and puts a fake smile on her face. I sit there eating away just listening.

"Oh really? That's great. Uh yea I'll definitely come. Ok I'll tell them, alright see you then. Bye, love you too" she says before hanging up.

"What was that about?" I ask her.

"His game was changed to a home game and he wants all of us to be at his game. It starts in 2 hours" she says frowning.

"That's so exciting, aren't you excited to see your boyfriend play?" Heaven says.

"Yea I am, I really am" she says looking down.

"So what's your issue Storm?" I ask her cleaning the chicken off of my bone. She sighs and covers her face. She mumbles something and me And Heaven share a look.

"Pardon?" Heaven says. She mumbles again and I groan.

"Oh myyyyy just say it" I say to her.

"I cheated on Josh with Melo" she says and we freeze. I gasp and throw my bone at her head.

"YOU DUMBASS! HOW COULD YOU!" I yelled at her.

"I'm sorry it was an accident! We hugged and our faces just went in the same direction and our lips accidentally touched. It wasn't even a peck, we literally pushed each other off right when it happened" She says.

"Well if it was just a little accident, I don't see an issue in it" Heaven says shrugging.

"Heaven you know how Josh is. Their lips still touched, made contact, whatever you wanna call it. And it doesn't help that he already has a little issue with you and Melo being close" I say to them, then looking at Storm.

"This is sooo bad! Josh is never gonna trust me or  Melo again and he's gonna break up with me" she says and starts to cry.

"Storm, everything is gonna be ok. Yea he's gonna be a bit mad, and he's gonna beat Melo's ass but you guys won't brake up" Heaven says.

"So when should I tell him?" She asks.

"As soon as possible" I say to her and she nods.

"Ok, well I guess we should get ready for this game" she says shrugging. We all stand up and leave to get ready.

Yay I'm going to a basketball game!
