Chapter 10

   'what are you talking about?' Taehyung's smirked turned into a frown

   'can't you see you have feelings for her too, the idea of her and me upsets you doesn't it?'

  'That's not possible for demons, I thought you knew that' he replied rolling his eyes.

  'how do you think y/n was born then?' I asked

   'not because of love obviously, you know demons are not capable of love' Taehyung repeated.

My face turned into surprise but I also couldn't necessarily suppress my smirk

   'you really don't know, do you?' I asked

    'what are you even talking about?' this time Taehyung's confidence seemed to fade a little

  'Demons indeed cannot love other demons or humans, but they are in fact able to fall in love with angels'

   'that's a lie' he stated it as if he was so sure 

    'It really isn't, I mean why would a demon rape an angel if they can have sex with demons or humans without any hassle plus we are naturally grossed out by each other? It hardly ever happens but that is what happened to her parents'

His expression was questionable, he was contemplating, then he suddenly pushed me very hard, making me fall down

    'you're lying' there was this panic in his voice, as if I told him something really scary.

I got back on my feet, and pushed him back, and he also made a movement towards me when y/n suddenly appeared out of nowhere running our way and standing in between us

   'what the hell are you two doing?' she asked but before we could answer another voice was heard

    'that's a good question, violence is not tolerated here' the principal stated scanning our faces 'and neither is skipping school' she added 

y/n pov

How did the principal even know we skipped? That question was immediately answered as Yeji appeared from behind her.

     'we are sorry' Jimin indicated 'yes we are' I added trying to look as sympathetic as possible. Taehyung didn't say anything, I didn't really expect him to but yeah.

    'rules are to be obeyed and breaking them means you get detention. So tomorrow you will stay an additional two hours to contemplate about what you have done'

   'all of us?' 'yes ms y/l/n'. I tried to be a sort of peacekeeper between all of us and agreed for the three of us. The principal nodded sternly and then returned to her office. Yeji had also left.

I turned to Tae and Jimin

   'can you two please, I don't know, get over your stupid issues with each other?' I asked while raising my arms in frustration. They both looked away annoyed.

   'fine suit yourselves' I exclaimed and walked away, boy this detention tomorrow will be something. 

Taehyung pov

   'I am out of here' I said as soon as y/n had left. Jimins information was the only thing I could think of. I needed to get to hell and figure this out. I wasn't in the mood to face anyone while being there so I decided to go as soon as possible and unannounced. 

When I arrived I immediately went to the, let's call it the library of hell. I was looking through the books of the demon trials, I assumed loving an angel is against the law so perhaps I could find something in here as this contained the few cases of the demons that did something unforgivable in demon "law" that they had a trial.

I scanned the pages when I saw a case that had to be about y/n's father: Aamon was a demon condemned to death due to a love affair with an angel that brought a halfy into the world. I checked the date and it indeed was almost 18 years ago. how were they able to keep this so secret? I mean I was around and so were Muriel or Jungkook but no one knew. I made my way to the girl who was the keeper of all the information in this place. I placed the book in front of her.

   ' So I read about this Aamon, how did we not know this?' I asked

  'because this is something that demons do not want to have as public knowledge, how did you even know?' she asked, raising her eyebrow. 'long story but can we keep this between us?' I asked and she chuckled 'I never leave this place and you're the first visitor this year I think so don't worry'

  'can I ask what happened to the angel?'

the girl smirked at me 

   'the angels were sly, I mean they act all righteous so they of course couldn't execute her. So she was "welcomed" back to heaven, but she needed to give up the child as there is no place in heaven for a halfy. It became clear pretty fast that although she was able to be back, everyone ghosted her. Eventually she took her own life knowing that Aamon had been executed, her child was taken from her and the knowledge she would never be accepted again in the angel community'

I didn't say anything. I felt so sorry for y/n, and I felt a fear because Jimin was right. Demons were able to fall in love.

     'it's almost like that Shakespeare story haha, Romeo and Juliet' the girl said and I tried to fake a smile and nodded before I went back to earth. 

y/n pov

   'y/n what's going on?' I heard my grandmas voice ask getting me out of my trance 

    'uhm its nothing really' I replied 'so you're not going to tell me you skipped the entire day yesterday?'

I swallowed 'oh you know?'

Grandma had an expression I didn't quite recognize 'I know that finding out the truth about your parents must be difficult but I wished you stayed honest with me'. I nodded 'yes gran, I am sorry'

After dinner I texted both Taehyung and Jimin, because I felt bad for the way I left. There was no response from taehyung, I mean it didn't even deliver. Jimin did answer and that was already calming me down. I asked him if we could talk, either at his place, mine or somewhere else. He simply replied with a ill be at your place in 15, and on the minute exact timing the doorbell rang.

     'ITS FOR ME' I shouted while running down the stairs. I quickly opened the door and stepped outside to talk to Jimin. 

'hey y/n' he said, trying to hold in his laugh as he probably noticed I rushed to not have my grandmother see him.
