Chapter 20

Taehyung pov

Everything was so fucked up. I searched for Muriel and I finally found her eating in the cafeteria. 

   'did you tell y/n?' I growled angry. she smirked at me but before she spoke Yeji did 'actually it was me, I heard you two at the party' I looked at her full of hatred 'you bitch'

   'awh taehhyungie, I told you; you will regret using me like that and the best part is that this was something you actually did, so don't act like an innocent now'

I smashed my fist on the table but they both just chuckled.

The bell rang for next class and I saw Seojoon sit next to y/n. he looked angry at me and nudged at the seat next to Jimin. y/n didn't even give me a glance. Reluctantly I sat next to Jimin who also acted like I wasn't there.

Mr Kim walked in and everyone went quiet. he scanned the room but then stopped 

    'miss y/l/n, you seem to switch partners a lot?' he asked 

     'oh you have no idea' Yeji smirked and y/n stuck her middle finger at her 

    'miss y/l/n that kind of expression is not appreciated in my class' Yeji looked at y/n triumphantly 'and yeji I did not ask for your input either'

I did feel bad about the whole situation 

y/n pov

the class went so slow but I was so thankful for Seojoon who tried to take every opportunity to make a stupid joke and make me smile. Then Mr Choi walked in 

    'can Park Jimin and y/n/l, y/n come with me? the principal wants to see them'

oh great

Mr Kim nudged at us and we both got up following Mr Choi to the principals office. we sat down in front of her. me and Jimin didn't exchange any word or glance. 

    'so you probably know why you are here?'

I shook my head, I mean I probably was here because of the skipping classes again but for Jimin I had no clue

     'Mr Lee told me this morning you both were not last week. and more surprisingly Jimin you were there but then left and didn't come back?' my world seemed to stop for a second.

it was Jimin

Jimin had taken me out of the woods I stared ahead numbed 

    'I just don't understand; you two have some of the highest grades and the teachers are positive about you so why ruin that with skipping classes?' we both didn't reply 

     'you both obviously get detention. you can choose when to sit it out. together or alone I don't care' 

     'of course, I apologize' Jimin said while bowing 'you are free to go' Jimin left

'ms y/l/n, you can go now' 'uhm yes' I got up and ran after jimin

   'Jimin, wait.' I grabbed his arm 'was it you?'

he looked away but eventually nodded

   'why didn't you wake me up? talk to me?' I asked with tears in my eyes

  'you were hurt because of me so I wanted to give you some space. but I was worried when you didn't return for the second hour. when I found you you were undercooled so I brought you back'

   'I.. I.. 'I stumbled unable to say actual words

    'I told you I would always be there' he said

I caressed his cheek with my hand but he softly took it 'but I think for now you need time and space. not me being in your life. I thought I could do this but seeing you with Taehyung really did hurt me, and I need you to be sure about me and you're not'

He let go of my hand with a sadness in his eyes 

   'I am going to go back now' 

I watched how Jimin returned to class. The weird thing in that moment was how I felt like laughing. because everything was so ironic and so messed up. when I think I know things it turns out I have no clue about anything. I also returned to class and all eyes fixated on me as I walked in. 'ah welcome back y/n please take your seat'

I quickly sat down next to Seo Joon

   'what happened?' he asked    'did you know Jimin was the one who took me out of the woods' Seo Joons eyes widened but then he nodded   'why didn't you tell me?'    'Jimin asked me not to'.

There was so much ache in my heart, it was hard to grasp for me how selfless Jimin was. 

Class finally ended and I saw Jimin at his locker, I wanted to talk to him but perhaps he was right, perhaps I did need space and time. I was on my way out when I saw Taehyung, I fastened my pace towards the exit, away from him.

Taehyung came running after me 'please y/n just hear me out, I did make the bet and it was stupid'

   'taehyung I don't want to talk right now' I interrupted him

    'but y/n I called it off because I think I love you'

I stared at him with the same surprise as he looked at me. I swallowed

   'please don't do this right now Taehyung, I really need some space'

I wanted to turn around but he grabbed my wrist

   'no you need to listen to me, you need to understand I didn't mean it'

    'you're hurting me taehyung' I said as his grip was strangely forceful, he immediately let go 'I am sorry but you need to forgive me' there was this panic in his eyes

I thought about what Jimin said you were hurt because of me so I wanted to give you some space

  'you can't force forgiveness Taehyung, I am going now'

I again turned back to exit the school and this time Taehyung did let me go.
