Chapter 29

Khalil POV
I walk down the steps where everyone else is and I gulp as I look at Justin with Angel on his lap.

"AYYE KHALIL!" Taylor, Justin, and Za yell.

I give them a nervous smile and Angel glances up at me before looking away.

"How you feeling bro?"Justin asks

Im guessing she didnt tell him.

"Im ight..still a bit sore but im good" I explain

"Good enough to have some fun at the beach with us"Blessing asks

"Yea. Come on guys I'm good" I smile a small smile

"Mhm whatever you say" Taylor says

"Wheres um..B-Brice" I stutter

"She didnt wanna come. She went out with Trey, Shaun, and Shauns girlfriend." Emma explains

"Shaun has a girl?" Angel asks surprised

"Yea. This new girl who just moved here. Shes so innocent but just wait..Shauns gonna fuck with her mind" Emma explains

"It'll probably be the only thing he fucks" Blessing mumbles and we laugh.

I throw the frisbee back to Za as the girls tan and Justin and Taylor play catch with a football. Its the perfect day to be at the beach. Its the second
week of April and Brices birthday is just a week away. No matter what Im still gonna go say Happy Birthday. Im not that mean.

"Yo Im gonna go get a drink" I say and Za nods before joining the other guys.

I see Angel stand up and I run towards her and grab her arm, bringing her to the boys bathroom on the boardwalk. She struggles in my grip but I make her face me once we are in a stall.

"What!" She snaps

"I-I...why didnt you tell?" I ask with clear confusion

"Because Im not as low as Shaun." She snaps crossing her arms.

"I-im sorry Angel..I shouldn't hve kissed you an-"

"No! You shouldnt have because I have a boyfriend who Im happy with and you kissing me was completely out of the blue. It could have messed up our friendship!" She snaps

"Could have? Meaning our friendship is still there?" I ask

"Of course. Im not gonna throw away a friendship that we have had for over 8 years. We all make mistakes and you were broken..I get it. You were just in the hospital and you lost ya girl..but kissing me wasn't gonna erase any of those feelings Khalil." she explains looking me in eye.

I nod and she gives me a hug before walking out of the bathroom mumbling "Brought me into the damn boys bathroom...I don't got no dick".

I chuckle before sitting on the toilet while it was closed and thinking about everything. My thinking was interrupted by my stall flying open and I look up to be met with a beautiful girl..not as beautiful as Brice though.

"Um..da mermaid..da da pen" she burps and starts giggling.

I immediately stand up as she sways and I try to steady her.

"Um miss are you ok?" I ask

"Ye-yea im perreddrfecthh"

"Uh..huh." I smell her breath and it smells like alcohol.

"This is the mens bathroom-"

"I heard you talking about some ga-girl..ya k-knooooww da b-best way to get ova a girrrlll is to find a new oneee" She slurs.

"Um wha-"

Her lips attatch to my neck as she sucks; giving me a hickey. Her arms push me to sit on the toilet as she straddles me and then she looks at me.

"Illll beeee dat new ga-girl" she whisper slurs

Be that new girl. I do need that new girl to move on from Brice but..i cant take advantage of this girl..I just cant.

As im about to stop her she starts to give me a sexy ass lap dance and I just lose all focus before grabbing her and kissing her full on.

She slips back on her bikini bottom and I slip on my shorts again. I hold her hand as we exit the bathroom.

Brice POV
Trey gives me a piggy back ride along the board walk as I slurp my slurpy lol. We are at the beach with Shaun and his girl just on a double date.

"Babe I cant believe you and Shaun are brothers" I say

"Yea well hes really close to me. Hes a really good step brother" He explains

"I wonder where he is" I ask

"Probably fucking his girl under the boardwalk or somethin." he says and we laugh.

"Lets get somethin to eat" he suggests

I nod and we go to a nacho station.

As Trey gives our order I look around the beautiful beach and I see the crew! The boys playing football and the girls tanning. They look so happy. I havent been hanging out with them lately since I started dating Trey and I really miss them. I notice that someone is missing from the crew though...him.

I cant lie. I miss Khalil so much but what he did is just so unforgiveable. As I watch the crew...I hear some middle schoolers laughing and chatting about a video.

"Yea his names Khalil and he totally got beat up. They dont know who but in this one you can piece it together and it makes sense. I respect him though for taking a punch or few" One of them say.

What? Beat up? Omfg.Is that why he isn't here. I tell Trey Ill be back and walk towards the girls bathroom. I take out my phone from my shorts pocket and search up recent fights on google. Many results pop up but I notice Khalils face on the third one. I click it and what I see shocks me. Khalil is being carried out of the boys bathroom and he looks horrible. He has blood everywhere and an oxygen mask on. I almost wanted to cry when I saw his eyes were closed.

I saw a bunch of kids with phones out and the crew in the background; trying to follow the paramedics and it hurts when I see that Blessing and Emma were there. How could they keep this from me?! The video ends and theirs a suggestion of another video and it has Za. I click it and I Immediately watch him throw Shaun against gym lockers. I watch the whole thing in shock and what really stands out is Shauns confession.

I shut my phone and...I cant believe that it was Trey and Shauns fault. I cant believe I was so stupid to do this to Khalil when he was telling the plain as day truth. I feel like...shit.

I storm out of the bathroom but stop in my tracks when I see Khalil in the distance with a girl. They're holding hands. I smile cause hes ok and alive...well he looks ok...but then I immediatley frown when I see them kiss and she walks away.

Did he move on from me?

"Baby?" I hear Trey behind me.

Time to face the music.
