Khalil POV
"What day is it" Brice asks sitting up in the hospital bed and I chuckle.
"You ask me that every time I come back from my house" I say
"Sorry" she blushes and I chuckle.
"Its Thursday babe"
"Also known as the day before the case!"Blessing says excitedly as she walks in with Emma,Justin,Angel,Taylor,and Za not too far behind.
"Hey girl. You feelin better" Angel gives her a light hug.
"Yea I guess. Being in this hospital for more than two days is starting to take its toll on me though"Brice responds glumly.
"I feel you. "Za says
"So where have you guys been staying?" Brice asks before taking a sip of her water I brought her.
"Still at the house because we arent authorized to stay with mom yet unless that bastard gives up his custody"Emma says; rolling her eyes.
"Well by this time tomorrow, you guys will finally be living the good life" Taylor smirks
"Did you make the copies" Brice asks me.
"Yea I made 2 more." I state
"Yo our girls are about to be free" Za says giving Justin a bro hug.
"Wait...are you two dating"Blessing asks Angel who blushes.
"Um..yea." She smiles
"WHAT! What about Shaun" Taylor gasps
"He apologized but we thought it was better to be friends. Plus I found myself a real man." Angel kisses Justin
"Ew ok im gonna throw up"Blessing says jokingly.
Angel stuck her tongue out jokingly and I chuckle. As if on cue, there's a knock at the door and in walks Shaun with flowers.
"H-hey Brice. Angel told me you were in the hospital so I wanted to bring you these" He hands her the flowers that she accepts politely.
I glare at him but Brice looks at me sternly. He's just being nice.
"Thanks Shaun. It means a lot" She smiles; placing the flowers on the side of her bed.
He nods and waves to everyone before walking out.
"Ill be back" I say and follow him.
"Aye Shaun"
He turns around with his hands in his pockets.
"Thanks for comin to see her" I say
"No prob. Brice is a friend to me...just that. I dont want to get between you two." He explains
"Thanks man"
I turn to go inside but im interrupted by Shauns voice, "what happened to her anyway"
He asks.
"Dont worry about it man...im taking care of her" I chuckle.
"You are?" He asks
"Yea" I say and he nods before saluting me and walking away.
I shake my head chuckling and walk back into the room where everyone is in their own conversations. I smiled looking at Brice. Even with small cuts and a bandaid on her cheek, she is still beautiful.
"Are you fucking serious!" Emma snaps; looking down at her phone and everyone stops talking and looks at her.
"Whats wrong babe?" Za looks over her shoulder at her phone.
"Guess who just payed his way out of jail" Emma says; waving her phone around.
"He didnt" Angel says
""Of course he did! Hes fucking rich. He could stop a war if he wanted" Blessing snaps.
"But he almost raped me. He should be serving time." brice panics
"Exactly, almost." Emma says
"The police didnt see him take anything off of you and they dont know about the cameras. Theres no evidence or proof for them to make an arrest."Blessing mumbles
"Oh my fucking gosh" Brice huffs; falling back in her bed.
"We think we are ahead but no. Shit just keeps happening"Taylor grumbles
"Well we will wait. Its only mid day and tomorrow morning is the trial. We can wait that long right?" I ask
"Yea. By then the police and the judge will see what he did to you in court and he will really go behind bars" Justin explains
I walk over to Brice and stroke her face gently.
"Just be patient" I whisper and kiss her head.

"I cant believe that the nurses are actually letting us sleep here" Emma says in disbelief as doctors roll in some extra beds.
"I cant believe you guys are actually gonna stay with me" Brice smiles
"Of course. You get discharged tomorrow so we are gonna be here for you." Emma states
"And there is no way in hell, I'm going back to that demon at home" Blessing shakes her head.
We all laugh. For the rest of the time, I shared Brice's bed and we ate pizza and watched cheesy hospital soap operas.
