One Step Closer

Chapter one.

It was a normal day for Jenna that morning. She woke up around eight AM. She went into her bathroom which was connected to her room and brushed out her hair. After she was finished upstairs she came downstairs to see her older brother Josh cooking breakfast. He wasn't alone. His best friend Tyler was also there. Jenna had a crush on him but neither her brother or Tyler knew it. Josh wouldn't agree to it anyways. Jenna smiled and blushed at Tyler and he noticed her cheeks got red. Tyler, of course blushed as well. "Good morning Josh" she said and walked into the kitchen sitting down. "Hey, morning sis, how did you sleep last night?" Josh always asked and if she lied he knew. "Good" she lied and he instantly turned around. "That was the lamest 'good' I've ever heard" he came over to her. "What's wrong?" Josh asked concerned. "I can't tell you because reasons" she looked down when she saw Tyler looking over at them. "You can tell me I'll accept it if it's something I'm gonna get mad about, trust me I'll get over it." She immediately took him to another room. "Josh I didn't sleep well last night because I have a crush on Tyler..." Jenna thought to herself about all the things that could go wrong. "And?" Josh said chuckling. "You're not mad?" She was shocked at this point. "I mean yeah he's 5 years older than you but he's a great guy and definitely a good friend, I trust him" Josh just smiled. Jenna did too.

After they were all finished with eating Tyler and Jenna ended up alone on the couch while Josh went out to get groceries. "How's the album coming along?" Jenna asked and smiled big. Tyler smiled not knowing how to answer. "It's uhm it's coming along good" he shuffled in his seat a little. Jenna noticed and decided to tell him about having a big crush on him but instead she stayed quiet, after all he didn't seem interested, he had just gotten out of a relationship anyways. He even wrote a song about it.

After a while of awkward silence she looked up at Tyler who was now standing looking down at her, she stood up from the couch. "Jenna...." he said looking away. "Tyler?....." she was nervous on what he was saying her name for. Tyler really wanted to say how he felt but didn't. "Do you wanna go on tour with me and Josh?" Tyler looked into her eyes. "I'd love to Tyler but" "Jenna please" Tyler pleaded. "I...." Just then Josh walked into the house with groceries and Jenna ran to her room with tears streaming down her face. She wanted Tyler to know so bad but was scared and didn't want to overwhelm him since his latest breakup. Josh immediately came upstairs to comfort her. "What did he do?" Josh had anger in his voice. "Josh I can't do it.....I can't tell him I love him he just got out of a relationship and I don't want to pressure him he's just gonna find someone better" Tyler heard all she was saying from outside the door and felt bad that he hadn't said anything either. He has liked her from the first time they hung out. Josh never knew though. "Josh he asked me to go on tour with you guys" "and you said?" "I didn't say anything I didn't answer..." she looked away from Josh. "Go downstairs and tell him now" he smiled and started to get her suitcase out. Jenna went to Tyler. "I'll go on tour with you" Tyler smiled bigger than ever. He hugged Jenna and she was a little shocked but hugged him back. Josh got Jenna's stuff packed up and brung it downstairs. "You guys ready for our big day tomorrow?" Josh said smiling. "Yes I can't wait" Jenna said excited. Tyler nodded and didn't realize he was still hugging Jenna. He didn't mind and neither did she.

Later that night Josh and Tyler were in Josh's room playing drums and singing. Jenna was off to her room reading. She would listen to Tyler sing and sometimes fall asleep. She decided to go to Josh's room and watch. "Oh hey Jenna" Tyler smiled. "Hey Tyler" Jenna sat on Josh's bed and waited for them to start again. Tyler started singing 'oh ms believer' and little did Jenna know it was written about her. She listened to the whole song be sung by Tyler and was asleep on Josh's bed by the end of it. They both chuckled and Josh took you to your bed covering you up. Tyler slept on the couch and Josh got into bed with Jim.

The next morning Tyler woke Jenna up early before the sunrise even though they didn't have to be up until an hour later. She took a while to get ready anyways. "I want you to see something" Tyler grabbed her wrist gently bringing her downstairs and outside on the porch. She was cold so she cuddled into Tyler who held her close. At this point she was thinking Tyler thought of her as a little sister. They waited for the sunset and finally it came up. "Wow it's beautiful, Tyler" Jenna looked up at him. "Not as beautiful as you" he said aloud and she blushed.

Josh was soon awake and he cooked them breakfast. Jenna was getting ready and made sure she had everything for tour. Once everyone was ready they made their way to the bus. They settled in and chose their beds. Jenna picked the bed under Tyler and Josh picked the one beside Tyler. It would take them 7 hours to arrive. They joked around and eventually decided to sleep.

I know this chapter sucks but I rushed the ending not gonna lie I'm sorry anyways enjoy 😊
