When I woke up, the pain in my side had dulled to just an annoying throb; though when I sat up, it hurt a lot worst.
"How are you feeling?" Liam's voice came from the corner of the room and I looked over. He was wearing a white muscle shirt along with dark blue jeans. I raised a hand to my head and ran my fingers over the small bump that had formed.
     "I'm okay," I answer quietly.
Liam nods his head and gets up; cross crossing over to the bed I was on he moved my hand gently and pressed his fingertips to the bump. I winced a little as pain shot through me.
"I'm sorry,” he whispered quietly. "I'm missed this one, let me get you some ice."
I pushed his hand away, "I don't need ice, I need to go home."
Liam's expression grew sad, "I'm sorry Kait, but you can't."
I frowned at him again, "Why not? I'm not staying here with you."
He let out a long sigh and pulled his phone out of his pocket and tapped at the screen, he showed me a video of a house on fire. Frowning, I watched as firemen struggled to put out the flames.
"Is that…?" I trailed off; not wanting to continue my own sentence, not wanting to say what might be true.
Liam nodded, "I'm so sorry, I didn't think they'd find you so quickly.  I had to bring you here; they'll kill you because they think you mean something to me."
Hurt crossed through my heart, I didn't mean anything to him.
"Well that's just dandy, isn't it?" I could hear the anger and hurt in my own voice; I didn't make any attempt to hide it either.
The video stopped playing and Liam stuffed his phone back in his pocket.
"I said I'm sorry, okay? I could've let them kill you instead of saving your life you know."
I met his eye, "Then let them, because right now I'd rather die than mean something to you."
As soon as those words came out of my mouth I regretted them. What the hell was I thinking?

Liam got up from the chair. His face was void of all emotion. “Very well then.” He said quietly. “Let me check your wound and then I’ll be on my way to make someone else’s life miserable.”

I could tell that he was joking about the last part; at least I was hoping he was. I didn’t mean it, but I was too afraid of saying the wrong thing again to not speak at all. Instead I lifted up the shirt so that Liam could change the bandages and put medicine on the wound to keep my side numb and throbbing.

“You’re going to have a scar from this,” he said quietly as he wrapped the wound up in gauze.

I nodded my head quietly and stared up at the pristine white ceiling.

       “I know.”

A/N:  So how is everything going with you? I got Fairest (By Marissa Meyer) Yesterday and stayed up all night reading it. AMAZING BY THE WAY, if you haven't picked it up and read it yet you should... it just came out yesterday, but it's worth the read. It's short too, so there's nothing to worry about.

ANYWAY, so leave your comments below, I will be posting the next part as soon as I can, I'm writing now so yeah, it should go fairly quickly. I typed up most of this on my new phone which I got on Sunday (which is why I haven't posted anything since Saturday because I've been distracted by it's newness)

ANYWAY, again... leave your comments down below and vote for the chapter, I look forward to reading your comments and stuff.

So talk to you in the next chapter, unless you PM me before that then talk to you then.

Happy reading!
