Back to the Past - Sasuke Uchiha

"You're an odd duck, you know that?" 

"..Hn"

"Sasuke-kun, you should talk more. Your voice is nice." She smiled as she said this, a small giggle escaping from the back of her throat. She continued writing the essay just next to him.

"What do you want me to say?"

She blinked, raising her head, and looking over at the raven who sat next to her.

"I dunno, talk about yourself."

He lay on his bed, watching as his girlfriend applied make-up on her already rosy cheeks. 

"Sasuke-kun, whaddya think?" She turned around, smiling her adorable smile, as she looked at her boyfriend. 

Sasuke sat up, tilting his head in an analytical way.

"You look perfect." 

She giggled, standing up and walking over to the mirror, which was attached to the back of the Uchiha's door. She spun around in a rhythmic way, looking at Sasuke through the mirror.

He smiled, standing up, and walking over to his favorite person. 

He wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. He buried his face in the crook of her neck, chuckling as she hummed. He could feel her vocal chords vibrating as she did so, and it soothed him. 

"I love you, Kaori." 

"I love you too, Sasuke-kun."

She shrieked, barely dodging the blob of icing that flew just past her head.

"Oh, you are so gonna get it!" 

She scooped up a blob straight from the large bowl, chucking it at the raven who dodged without any difficulty. She blinked. 

She scooped up another piece, jogging towards him. He swiftly avoided her slap of icing, and scooping her up over his shoulder. He held her by her thighs, as both of them laughed to their hearts content.

"Where were you?"

"Hm? What do you mean?" 

"Kaori, where were you?" 

"S-Sasuke-kun, I don't know what you're talking about." She shifted uncomfortably, and he looked at her, boring into her very soul with his eyes. 

"Don't lie to me, Kaori."

"I don't know what you're talking about!" 

He stood, his height towering over hers. She stepped away. He scoffed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"I can't believe you."

"S-Sasuke-kun, I-"

"No, Kaori! Leave!" 

"Fine! I was better off without your disgusting life story!" She stormed out, slamming the door shut behind her. 

He stared at the door.

"Awh, Sasuke-kun, you're so adorable when you're scared."

She trailed her index finger along his jaw, giggling quietly, as she retracted her hand. 

He was frozen. She was here. Her dark hair, her deep, blue eyes, her freckles. She was all here.

She kissed him.

He snapped his eyes open, running his fingers through the soft material on his thigh. 

He was in Naruto's room, and all he could hear was the chatter of his best friend, and felt the pounding of his head.

Nightmares.
