Chapter 2

Marinette POV

Marinette missed half of her school day
just by sleeping in late. Marinette woke up
around 10 am.  Since she was already
late to school she decided to just go see
Master Fu. Her homework wasn't going to
go away after school, and Alya might
persuade her to go to her house which
would have pleased Marinette on any
other day.

"Don't worry Marinette. Master Fu gives
some of the wisest advice. You will fix
your problem very soon." Tiki said.

"I'm not worried about Master Fu, I'm
worried about Mrs. Bustier and my
homework for not being in class! This is a
disaster!"

"Maybe Master Fu can help you make up
an excuse for school. The 'I lost my
homework' one was overused a long time
ago."

"Tikki! What am I supposed to do?
Say,'Sorry I'm late Mrs Bustier, I was busy
saving Paris from a supervillain!' I don't
think she'd buy it for a second." Marinette
walked into Fu's apartment very
unnoticeable.

"Hello Marinette. Aren't you supposed to
be in school?"

"Sorry Master, I accidentally slept in late
and I knew Alya would be bugging me
about going over notes from Science
class. Plus I need some advice." Marinette
told Master Fu about the feelings she was
starting to feel for Chat Noir, her thought
about his secret identity, and how that
might risk everything. "I know that if I find
out Chat Noir's secret identity I'd have to
give up my miraculous. But I can't stop
thinking about him Master. What should I
do?"

Master Fu looked down.

"Master Fu?"

Adrien's POV

Adrien spent the whole night thinking 
about her. He couldn't sleep. He couldn't
eat. He stayed up half the night studying
for the quiz in Science tomorrow. I wonder
if she'll be there? Adrien wondered.
Marinette hasn't been showing up
everyday of the week. She must be busy
or somewhere else. His thoughts drifted
to her again.

"Ugh! All this mushy feelings are making
me sick. Camembert is the only thing that
can cure my aching heart." Plagg
complained like this all night long. When
morning came Adrien was so tired he felt
like he would fall over. He got the strength
to get ready for the day and head to
school. He looked all over the classrooms.
There was no sign of her. English went by
and so did science. Where could she be?

Marinette POV

"Master Fu?" Marinette asked.

"Marinette I need you to promise not to go
looking into who Cat Noir is."

"Master, I'm confused. Why are you so
upset? I'm not gonna go looking. Paris
needs me here."

"Marinette, years ago I made a mistake. I
gave out the miraculous of the ladybug
and Cat Noir to two people. Ladybug
wanted to love the black cat miraculous
holder for who he truly was. She found out
his secret and identity. He was in love with
another woman. Ladybug was furious.
She used her miraculous to kill the other
woman. I don't want the mistakes of the
past to be repeated, Marinette. Promise 
me that you will not go looking for Cat
Noir's identity. It could lead to his
destruction and yours."

"But Master? Why would Cat Moir love
someone else? He loves me."

"What if he moves on? Gets a girlfriend?
Spends the rest of his life with someone
else? What will you do then?"

Marinette gave Fu a sly glance. "We'll just
have to see if that will happen."
