Chapter 7

Adrien's POV

Nathalie taught Adrien while he was at
home.  The days were very long. He hated
being stuck at home. He would sneak out
to go save Paris but besides that he wasn't
leaving. He had a one hour break for lunch.
Otherwise, he was studying.

"Adrien what year did World War II start?"

"1939"

"Very good. We may be done for the day."

Adrien ran out of the dining room as fast as
he could. He couldn't stand being
homeschooled, he hated it.

"Cheese was the only was to get me through that." Plagg says.

"I'm good," Adrien says.

"Plagg hold off of the cheese." He saw
Ladybug fly closer and closer to his
window. Plagg hid in his shirt. Ladybug
landed on his window sill.

"Ladybug? What are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to you. Can I come in?" She
gestures to his room.

"Of course." She climbed in the window
and shut it. "Do you need something?"

"We have a problem." She sighed. "And it's
big."

"What is it?" Adrien hopes what she's
about to say is different than what he
thought she was about to say.

"So I heard from a friend that you snuck
out last night. Is that true?" She looked at
him. Her eyes were such a pretty color.
They reminded him of someone but Adrien
just couldn't put his finger on it.

"Um, yeah, I did." He looked down.
Hopefully she didn't see he was trying to
hide something from her. "But what does
this have to do with your problem?"

She smirked. "You know what this has to
do with the problem, Chat."

He gasped. He eyes shot open. She knew.
She smiled at him. Obviously trying to
contain a laugh. "Stop laughing at me!" He
said.

"I'm not laughing!" She put her hands up in
defense. "Okay maybe I am."

"Wow," he said and released a puff of air.
"How'd you find out?"

"Cat Noir and I snuck out last night. I
thought you won't necessarily sneak out.
Plus your ring from when I saw you last. I
knew it was familiar somehow. He looked
down. "I've never seen a ring with such a
familiar design to Chat Noir's."

"Yeah." He said.

She exhaled. "So do you need anything?"
She asked.

"Why are you asking me this? This is my
house. Do you want anything?" He asked. It
was weird that she asked this.

She laughed. "No, I mean... I.... um...." she
looked down and giggled. "Since you are
stuck at home, if you ever need a friend, I'll
be here. A reason to hide from your dad.
Whatever." She shrugged. She was so cute.
But there was someone else.

"Ladybug. I've been meaning to tell you
something." He looked down. He didn't
want to do this. But she was honest with
him when she said she loved someone
else. Now it was his turn. "I think my
feelings might be changing."

She looked confused. "What do you
mean?"

"I think I might be falling for someone else."

Marinette's POV

"I think I might be falling for someone else."
He said. She felt all of the color in her
cheeks drain out of them. He saw her face.
A face of confusion. "M'Lady, I didn't mean
to hurt you. I know that you have started to
realize your feeling for me-"

"What?" She said. Now she was even more
confused. "Chat, are you kidding me? I
happy for you. Who is she?"

"Well." He said blushing. "It's this girl in my
class. Her name is Marinette." No way. She
couldn't believe it. "She's really kind,
courageous, smart, and she's so beautiful."
He was blushing again. Ladybug couldn't
believe it. The minute she realizes feeling
for him, he realizes he has feelings for her.
"I want to tell her but I have no idea how
to."

She was jumping for joy on the inside. Her
brain was doing backflips. She could kiss
him. "You should tell her." She said.

"What? What if she rejects me?" He looked
down. As if he was sad to even think about
it. Plus she likes Luka."

"But you're Adrien Agreste. I've seen the
way she looks at Luka and the way she
looks at you."

"Yes." She said. "It seems as though she
looks at Luka like a brother."

"If she looks at Luka like a brother then
what do she look at me as?" He asked.

"I don't know." She said. "Maybe like
admiration. She thinks that you are sweet.
Honest. Kind. Very talented too. Probably
the way I've learned to look at you." He
looked at her. She smiled. Their faces
inches apart.

"What about you?" He asked. "Will you be
okay?"

"I honestly don't know. Will I always be
there for you? Yes. Will things be normal
between us? Probably not for a long time.
It's gonna take some getting used too.
That's for sure." She said defeatedly.

Adrien heard footsteps. "You have to go.
Nathalie is coming and if she sees you
she'll know something is up." Ladybug to
up. She hated leaving him. And lying to
him. She knew she couldn't share her
secret identity. She spun her yo-yo out to
the nearest building and mentally said
goodbye to Chat Noir. Forever.
