Chapter 6

Adrien's POV:

Adrien got home not long after 7 am. His
phone was off, but it was low on battery.
"Woooooo-hoooooooo! Come on.
Shouldn't we be celebrating?" Plagg asked.

"We should be but..." Adrien looked down.

"You've fallen for Marinette haven't you?"

He sighed. "I think so." He collapsed onto
his bed. He was exhausted. He did get
sleep, but his back hurt from the room and
his secret identity could have come out. An
alarm on his phone buzzed, it was from
Alya.

He couldn't believe this. People had found
out. Oh no. This was bad.

"This is great!" Plagg said.

"How is this great, Plagg? People could
have found out our secret identities if we
accidentally detransformed." Adrien
blushed. He hated thinking about who she
was under the mask.

"Relax, nothing serious has happened."
Plagg ate a slice of cheese.

"You're right, Plagg. There's no need to get
worried about something you didn't do."

"I am? Of course I am." Plagg finished the
rest of his cheese.

Nathalie burst into his room. "Adrien, where have you been? You're father was worried."

"Adrien." His father walked in.

"Father... I-"

"I don't want to hear it. You will not be
attending school until you follow my rules."

"But!"

"That is enough! You will stay here and will
resume class at the end of the month. End
of story." He walked out of the room. This
was so unfair.

Marinette POV

Alya: isn't this great. Ladybug and Chat
noir are dating!!!!

You: where did you get this picture?

Alya: someone posted it last night. They
saw then on the roof of a house not to far
from the Effiel Tower.

You: Oh. How did you draw than
conclusion?

Alya: meet me tomorrow at school and I'll  tell you

The next day...

"Marinette, isn't this great! So many new 
episodes for the Ladyblog all about their
relationship. So much more content!" Alya
said. "Speaking of relationships, when are
you planning on making a move on
Adrien?"

"I don't know Alya." Marinette sighed,

"Wait! What?"

"I think maybe it's time to move on. Plus my
feeling for Adrien have been changing
lately."

"Changing how?"

"Like I see him as a friend."

"No. You didn't just say that."

"Look, Alya. Adrien is going at Kagami and
he isn't even even looking back my way. I
think all I need to be right now is there for
him."

"He's only looking at Kagami because
you're not making a move Mari. You're
standing still. You're need to be like an
elephant at the circus. You need to excite
him. Make him think of you."

"Maybe I don't want him to look at me."
Marinette said. She thought it too.

"What do you mean?"

"I want to always be there for him. I want to
be in his life but I don't want to pressure
him into something he doesn't want to do.
He's always supported my decisions. I think
now it's time to support his."

"I hope you wrong. No offense." They
walked into school. Alya and Marinette
walked over to Nino. He looked sad.
"What's wrong Nino?"

"Adrien isn't coming back to school."

"Wait what?" Marinette said.

"Apparently he snuck out last night and his
dad caught him. His dad says he'll let him
go back to school once he starts obeying
his rules."

"Poor Adrien." Alya said.

"He said his dad heard his phone playing
music all night long when he should have
been practicing. Adrien's old man walked
into his room and heard the music playing
and no Adrien."

"Oh no." Marinette said. The music. Chat
said that his phone had been playing all
night too. Adrien snuck out. So did Chat.
Adrien's ring. Chats ring. Marinette
thoughts started racing. She couldn't
handle it. She ran to the bathroom.

She couldn't believe it. There had to be a
mistake. There was none.

Adrien Agreste was Chat Noir. And Chat
Noir was Adrien Agreste.
