You and Tom, stars of Thor: Ragnarok, are being interviewed by Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show when things get a bit more personal than you expected.

Crew members shuffled about as Tom and my makeup was touched up at the last moments. I could hear Jimmy hyping us up from the stage, while Tom and I waited for our que behind the curtain. He looked dashing, as usual, and I only hoped my dress matched his flair.

"You look wonderful, Y/N. Stop fidgeting," Tom said kindly, smoothing down the fabric on my shoulders. He tucked a strand of my hair back in place, smiling. "Don't be nervous, dear."

I sighed, grabbing his wrist gently and muttering a thanks.
I wanted to hold his hand - but I didn't want to cross the boundaries of our friendship.

Tom and I were very close. After the first Avengers film were remained friends; following each others socials and doing press together, the usual. But only after we started filming Ragnarok did we grow close, like...really close.

Were we dating? No. We weren't even in that weird talking stage. We were just...us, together. Perfectly balanced and so utterly happy with each others' company. After filming we started hanging out more, him teaching me how to perfect English tea, me teaching him [your favorite hobby], and binge watching the most recent season of [your favorite show]. It was a nightly occurrence, us going to each other's houses and after the first few nights, sleepovers became the routine - though we've yet to share a bed. Both Tom and I have large enough flats that we have spare rooms.

Lord knows I wanted him to make a move on me. We would say borderline flirty comments here and there, get lunch or brunch- but all things that could be chalked up to an extremely close friendship.

This was the first interview we had together for the press tour for Thor: Ragnarok a film that, this time around, dove deep into Y/C/N and Loki's relationship. In the comics, our characters ended up together, and fans were already making theories that in Thor: Ragnarok, the romancing subplot would finally come to light - this was true, of course, but Marvel wanted wanted keep their secrets as much as they could, as usual. Filming the new romantic storyline was a blast, and Tom and I had natural chemistry that made it easy to explore. The movie was just as much about Thor & Asgard as it was about Loki and Y/C/N.

I never expected to fall in love with Tom - I've been in other movies with other love interests, but this time it was different.

"Ladies, gentlemen," I heard Jimmy saying happily, "welcome to the stage, stars of Thor: Ragnarok, Y/F/N and Tom Hiddleston!"

Tom sent me one last look of encouragement as the curtain opened. The live audience cheered as we stepped out. Tom put his hand on the small of my back as walked together to the couch by Jimmy's desk on set. As the audience applauded, Tom and I politely waved and smiled back.

"Hello! Hi, oh my god you guys look amazing!" Jimmy spoke excitedly, "I mean- these outfits!"
