Toni's POV

"I got it, Momma." Rylan huffed.

"Okay. I'm just so nervous. My baby is starting 9th grade! You all grown up." I said.

"Hey! What about me?!" Reece, Cheryl, and I's 4-year-old son said.

"You are growing up too, Bub." Cheryl giggled, kissing his cheek.

"Okay. Now, If you need anything-"

"Call you or mom." She finished with a smile.

"I guess you're already then." I giggled.

"Yep. Later, Reece!" Rylan said as she turned around to walk into the school.

"Rylan!" Reece pouted as he reached for her.

"She'll be back later on today, Okay?" Cheryl said.

"Oh! I have an idea! How about ice cream for breakfast?!" I asked.

Cheryl shooked her head playfully while Reece cheered at the idea.

"Gotta give the kid what he wants." I shrugged with a smirk.

Cheryl giggled before we loaded into the car, and drive to the ice cream parlor.

"Mama, Can I draw?" Reece asked.

I turned away from my computer to hand him printer paper.

"Draw wisely." I said.

"Okay, mamá!" He said, running out of the room.

I smiled, turning back around to look at my computer.

Cheryl's POV

I sighed as I folded the clothes into the basket. Reece came running in, pencils and paper in his hand.

"Mamá said I can draw! So I draw." He explained, sitting on the bed.

I giggled, "Okay, Bebé. Just try not to get anything on the covers." I said, picking up the basket.

I went into Rylan's room, putting all of her clean clothes into her dresser.

Once I was done with that, I went to do Reece's room, only to find that it was a mess.

"Reece Caleb Topaz, get in here right this minute!" I yelled.

I heard his small feet patting against the ground as he marched into the room.

"Yes, mommy?" He asked, standing at the door frame.

"What is all this? What did I say about keeping this room clean?" I scolded.

He looked down, "That I had to keep it clean. But can I do it later? I d-"

"No. Do it now, or no drawing." I said.

"Okay, mommy." He said, going to pick up his toys.

While he did that, I put his clothes in his dresser before leaving the room.

I sat down in the living room as I sighed, relaxing.

"Tired, Huh?" Toni chuckled, sitting beside me.

"Very." I huffed.

"I'll do it next time. Take a day or three off." Toni said.

I leaned my head on her shoulder. "Sounds good." I yawned.

Toni's POV

Rylan entered the house as I made me a sandwich.

"Hey, love. How was school?" I asked as she sat at the counter.

"The first day is always boring but this was stressful." The girl huffed.

"Welcome to high school, baby." I chuckled, taking a bite into my sandwich.

"Want one?" I asked.

"Nah." Rylan sighed.

Reece came into the kitchen. "Rylan!" He giggled excitedly when he saw his older sister.

"Hey, bub." Rylan smiled, picking up her 4-year-old brother.

I smiled at them. They always had a bond like no other.

"And my day is made." Rylan smiled, kissing his cheek.

"I wanna go to school like Ry-Ry." Reece pouted.

I chuckled, "Next year, bud." I ruffled his hair.

He pouted, laying his head on Rylan's shoulder.

I shook my head with a chuckle.

"Mom is making your favorite, Girlie." I said.

Rylan smiled, "Really?! Yes!" Cheryl walked in, a smile on her face, "Hey, Pretty girl, how was school?" She asked.

"Stressful." Rylan said, letting Reece run his hands through her hair. "Ahh, I remember the high school days." Cheryl sighed, getting dinner prepared.

"Making your favorite tonight." She said to Rylan. "I know, Mamá told me." She said.

"Good, get some homework done before dinner." She said.

"Well, you guys got homework..." She said. We gave her a questioning look. "Blue cards?" She said as if it was obvious.

"Oi, esos son un dolor en el culo." I huffed. (Those are a pain in the ass)

"¡Idioma!" Cheryl scolded me. (Language!) "You guys know that we literally know what you're saying right?" Rylan asked as she and Reece looked at us weirdly.

"Yes. We might've forgotten we raised you guys in Spanish." Cheryl sighed. "Okay, Place the blue cards there. I'll get them done for you to bring them in tomorrow." I said.

"Kay, Mamá. Come on Reece." She said, carrying her brother upstairs.

"I love those two." I smiled. "You better, They're your children." Cheryl teased.
