(A simple set; a line of houses for the street.)
Daisy: (voiceover, or from backstage) This is Borray Heights, a small town known for its love of holidays (hesitates) and the death of a young couple 21 years ago. (cheerful) It's Halloween, and for this little town, it means fun!
(ENSEMBLE runs on stage, dressed in Halloween costumes with bags of candy. They're laughing and trick-or-treating.)
Joshua: (walking on stage, the GROUP following shortly behind) You remember the rules, right? I get a fifth of all your guys' candy since I'm not officially allowed to trick-or-treat. I'm just your (air quotes) 'adult' supervision.
Daisy: (voiceover, or from backstage) If you're a bit confused, it's okay. Borray Heights is very passionate about their holidays, but they like to focus on the kids. That's why they have an age limit for trick-or-treaters, so if you're older than 16, you're out of luck.
Felicity: Yes, we get it, Josh. Now can we go? I reallllly want candy!
Lucas: (pats JOSHUA's on the shoulder) Yeah, c'mon Josh, if you keep talking about it, people are gonna get suspicious and find out.
Joshua: Alright, let's go!
(The GROUP starts making their way down the street, beginning at SL, stopping at each house, and taking a few minutes to collect candy. GROUP can improvise conversations as they go, giggling, and making jokes. Remember, it's their last Halloween together as a group.)
(Lights go down as they reach the last house, and Ensemble slowly recedes backstage.)
(JUNIPER and FELICITY are SR while the BOYS play around CS. Allison is watching them.)
Juniper: Wow, I- I can't believe it's over already.
Felicity: I know! It's really our last year, and now it's over.
Addison: (walking over to JUNIPER and FELICITY) Well, you still have three more years-
Felicity: Actually, it's 2, but it won't be the same without you guys. (mumbles) Although we can go without Addison-
Allison: (interrupts) What was that?
Felicity: Nothing.
(JOSHUA leads the BOYS over SR)
Joshua: Guys, I have an idea!
Lucas: I have one too! (gasps) We should say them at the same time and see if it's the same!
Joshua: Good idea- 3...2...1...
Both: Let's visit the haunted-
Joshua: (overlapping with LUCAS) Fair!
Lucas: (overlapping with JOSHUA) Borray House!
(The two start arguing amongst themselves; improvise.)
Addison: Oh, look at that- the best friends can't agree.
Felicity: (nervous and blushing) I like Josh's idea, the fair sounds like fun.
Juniper: But Lucas' idea is so much better!
Mason: (quietly) Why don't we do both?
Lucas: What do you mean?
Mason: (stuttering) Well, we could- we could go to the fair, and- and then when it closes, we can go to the Borray House.
Joshua: Duuuude, that's so smart!
(MASON smiles as JOSHUA puts an arm around him. ADDISON glares at JOSHUA, making him awkwardly remove his arm.)
Joshua: (awkwardly) Uhm- let's go!
(The GROUP runs off SR laughing, and the scene transitions to the FAIR. The FAIR is made up of a few game stalls, and teen ENSEMBLE members are scattered.)
