I've not been  here in a while and I just I had too cuz it's a sorta safe space for me.
I recently lost someone dear to me and it's left  me in a little bit of a funk and then  I got inspired to write this, which I titled on my IG account as :

"AN ODE TO LIFE"

Inhale, exhale ,

Breathe in breathe out,

Work hard or burn out ,

Make the headlines or fade into the background,

Police the time or make use of it,

Hustle or be hassled,

Drag the blunt or let it burn,

At the day's end, It's all a stump, for life ends with a deathly bump .

Milk it for all it's worth or have a back story or woulda coulda shoulda's.

"The choice is yours"they say, but is it really? Circumstances beg to differ.

They say "when life you Lemons, you make lemonade"

The obscured truth is, Life might retain traces of it's sourness just to humble some.

So with these being said, I write this in salute to you.

Dear Life,

You are a gift, bestowed on me by a Grace I cannot phantom my deserving of .

You've broken me, you've molded me,

Wrung tears from eyes, painted smiles on my lips.

You've frustrated my efforts and knocked me to my feet,

You've also given me lessons on scaling your levels like a nintendo.

Heart ache and love, warped in the essence of a coin,  a token you've given

A bout of errors, amidst result of realizations.

A wonder I'm continuously boggled with,

All phases of you equal in its presence,

A time to eat,  a time to live,  a time love,  a time to die.

Yet in my heart of hearts,  I might wish for a never ending journey with you.

No matter,  I'd take what I'd get, I how lived and I've loved,  I guess it's time you examine my use of you.

Another letter from my grey and old self, one you are albeit privy to, 
though, I'll pretend you are not.

With a toothless smile and gummy laughter, my brittle bones and my weary soul,

I bid you adieu, for here comes my curtain call ,

A bow taken by all .
