A/N: Normally I wouldn't put anything for this chapter cover, but Nico is introduced and I just can't pass this up.
You watched Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson climb through the hole. Percy's eyes roved over the crowd, looking for someone. You ducked behind a tree, not wanting to meet his eyes. Once they had made it through, the crowd dispersed to get their weapons prepared to move around Zeus's Fist. You saw an opportunity and took it. Slipping down the hole, you let your eyes adjust to the darkness and then heard footsteps.
Freezing, you listened and heard Annabeth explaining about the Labyrinth. She got some of the information wrongs, though. She must not have read some of the books you had. You looked around and saw the green lines like veins running in one direction. Annabeth was going the wrong way. You wanted to call out to Percy, tell him the right way to go; but you just gritted your teeth and continued walking in the right way. Percy made it clear that he would take Annabeth's side over yours.

You found an exit and left the Labyrinth. You found yourself in a thick forest around sunset. Deciding to rest for the night, you use your belt pouch to set monster traps that would alert you to any monsters coming your way. Having a light dinner, you set up your hammock high in the trees and settled in for the night. You closed your eyes and had your first demigod dream.
You were standing in a room that had a table laden with food, but that wasn't what caught your attention. Percy was there, along with Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson. A lady with a lotus staff, Hera you guessed, was talking to them.
"I will offer you one wish."
"I want a way to navigate the Labyrinth," Annabeth said immediately.
"Percy already knows of two ways." Hera seemed to look directly at you after she had said that and then you woke up.
Looking around, it seemed to be late morning and you had time to make up. Packing up your camping supplies, you walked back to where the blue triangle glowed. Pressing it, you stepped through the doorway that had opened up. Taking a deep breath, you continued following the green lines.

You looked up to see slates of sunlight that came through a grate above you. Pushing up, you found that the grate hinged on one side. "Hello, welcome to Geryon's Ranch."
You looked up to see a man with three chests and a young boy with dark hair and a pale complexion. The boy was wearing all black and had a sword sheathed by his side. He looked sad and angry, not a good combination as you knew from experience.
The man with three chests spoke again. "You are my guest along with Nico here. Please come and you can join our tour."
"Ok," You pulled yourself out of the grate and followed Geryon as he continued a tour. You didn't really pay much attention, you were too nervous. This man gave you a bad feeling. After the tour, you and Nico were allowed to hang around the main house.
"I'm Y/N L/N. You must be Nico?"
"Yes."
"Are you ok?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" His glare was scary.
"Sorry," You glanced down. "I didn't mean to pry. I'm just still figuring out this whole friendship thing." You turned away.
"Are you a demigod?" You turned back to see Nico looking at you. He still looked guarded, but he was talking to you. "I mean, you are, right? I'd doubt you would be here otherwise."
"Yeah, I'm a daughter of Hephaestus." You looked at him, and immediately felt a sisterly instinct that you didn't recognize; you just felt like you had to hug him. "Are you sure that you're ok?"
He turned away, wiping angrily at tears that you guessed came unbidden. Before you could back out, you strode over and wrapped him in a hug. He struggled against you, but you held on.
"It's ok, you don't have to be strong all the time. You can cry, I won't tell anyone." He then melted into you and held on tightly. His whole body was shaking with sobs.
Once he had let out his tears, he sat back and wiped his eyes. "My older sister died about a year ago, she was a hunter of Artemis. Her name was Bianca. She went on a quest and died. Percy Jackson said that he would protect her, and he failed."
"Percy? Percy Jackson? I know him..." You trailed off remembering Percy angrily looking at you when you tried to warn him about Annabeth.

While going on rounds around the ranch with Geyron the next day, you heard creaking at the grate you had come out of the day before. You stepped slightly in front of Nico. The two of you had become even closer after a night of stargazing.
Two hands were pulling the grate's bars apart and then Tyson appeared and pulled himself out with Grover, Annabeth, and Percy following close behind. Tyson came up to you and picked you up, hugging tight. "Pretty girl! I'm glad to see you!"
"Nice to see you too, big guy." You had met Tyson during one of your first weeks at camp. He had taken an immediate liking to you as had you after you got over the worry that he would be like your mom and stepfather. Tyson let go and stepped back to the rest of his group.
"Well, well, looks like we got some more friends," Geyron said as he looked at the foursome.
"Or murderers," Nico said as he moved to draw his sword, looking at Percy. You put a hand on his shoulder, murmuring that he needed to calm down. Nico took a deep breath, still glaring at Percy, and sheathed his sword. Percy was looking at you with shock while Annabeth was glaring at you with such hatred that you knew that she was so close to pummeling you.
"Come," Geyron smiled, though it seemed forced. "Let me take you on a tour."
