A/N: Sorry this chapter is so short.

Percy's POV

Percy Jackson had no idea who that girl was that he had locked eyes with just before the last period. He sensed power, the power of a greek good. He thought about it on the way back to the apartment. All of a sudden, the ringing of clashing swords stopped him in his tracks.

"Please, can we just talk about this? I need your help with the maze." Luke said. He ran into the alley, drawing Riptide.

"Luke, you traitor!" Percy saw a girl with h/c hair and a sword in her hands in a fighting stance. With a start, Percy realized that this was the girl from school. Luke hissed in annoyance, darted to the girl's side, kissed her cheek, and then pulled an amulet out of his pocket and disappeared. The girl wiped her cheek and scowled in annoyance. She walked over to where her backpack was and picked it up.

"He always does that, every time. Just before I'm about to get him."

"Um, excuse me. Don't you go to my school?" The girl turned to Percy.

"Yeah, I go to Blackwell High (A/n: Don't know what school Percy went to before Battle of Labyrinth) and my name is y/n l/n." She brushed past Percy to leave. Percy turned to follow her.

"Y/n, why were you with Luke?"

"Oh, you know him too?" Y/n stepped away from Percy. "Great."

Back to regular POV

You stepped away from the boy with sea-green eyes. "I don't like Luke, either." The boy protested. You just started walking away and the boy followed. "How do you know him?" You skipped over a manhole cover and started to continue making whatever you were making before Luke interrupted you.

"He practically kidnapped me a little over a year ago to talk to me about some prophecy and joining some army for a guy who ate his own children. I've fought him so many times I've lost count. He insists that I belong to him because of that prophecy he keeps bringing up.." You made a face at that. Percy caught up with you and stood in front of you.

"What do you mean by a prophecy? Which prophecy, did he say?"

You stepped around him. "Yeah, something about a child of fire would help whichever side they chose. Honestly, even if I believe him, why would I want to join a guy who ate his own children? He's probably crazy, though, he's called me half-blood too many times. Half-what? I don't know and could honestly care less. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back home soon. Bye." You quickly turned the corner and climbed the fire escape to your room. Slipping through the window, you quietly slid it shut and sat at your desk. You pulled your project and put the finishing touches on it. Finished, you turned to your work table and looked at what you had been making. It looked like a watch. You continued to tinker with it and when you next looked up, it was dark outside. You sighed in relief as you hadn't had to deal with your stepfather. You changed into your pyjamas and slipped under your covers, falling asleep almost as soon as your head hit the pillow.
