27- The Sleepover

Back at sleepover and Dixie is detailing how Noah asked her out:
"It was honestly so perfect. He took me back to the spot on the beach we went to on our first date and had it all set up with candles."

Nessa: "What about you Kelianne?"

Kelianne: "Tayler and I aren't official or anything yet. I mean I keep hoping, but he'll do it when he's ready... right?"

You: "He's definitely going to ask you. He is crazy about you."

Kelianne: "I hope... I just don't want to push him."

You: "Trust me. I get it. I wish I hadn't pushed."

*NESSA'S POV*

Nessa: "Josh and I have broken up and gotten back together so many times that I can't remember and I still don't think I've gotten a proper ask."

Before she could continue her phone went off and she saw it was Josh so she answered:
"Hey, baby-"

Josh: "Baaabbbbyyyy"

Nessa: *giggling*
"Just how drunk are you baby?"

Josh: "I just saw a girl that was so hot it was ridiculous."

Nessa: *replies in sarcasm*
"And you had to call and tell me? How romantic."

Josh: "No, no. I s- saw her and she was *hiccup* hot, but all I could think about was yoooou. I think that means you're the one 'cause I don't want to go find her. I just want you to come get your boy so I can have you. I just want you."

Nessa hung up and tried to hide the smile. It was definitely an unconventional compliment, but it was probably the sweetest thing he'd ever said to her.

You: "Just go girl. We're all fine. Go get your mans."

*END NESSA'S POV*

Kelianne: "You know you didn't do anything wrong with Bryce, right? That was not your fault."

You: "Then who's fault was it? He made it clear what he was looking for and how far he was willing to go with me and I pushed him."

Dixie: "Dude, telling a guy you don't want to just be a hookup is not pushing. It's called setting standards."

You: "Well that would be all fine, except I did hookup with him... for weeks and hid it from everyone and that kinda gave him a different impression of my standards."

Dixie: *in shock*
"You hooked up with him???"

Kelianne: "For weeks???"

You: "I know. I know. See? I'm an idiot. I told you."

Kelianne: *pulls you into a hug*
"Awe sweetie. No you're not."

You: "It doesn't matter anymore anyway. I have Nick now and I actually think he might ask me out soon."

Dixie: "Are you over Bryce?"

You: "I still love him but I'm moving on because when given the chance to love me back he chose not to."

Dixie: "PERIODT!"

The girls have all fallen asleep and Nessa never came back so you imagine she found Josh and is locked away in his room with him. It still shocked you that even after your parents caught him sneaking her in that night, they never seemed to question her spending the night with you so often. Just goes to prove that they really don't care as long as they can hide behind appearances. You can't help but scroll through the pictures of Bryce you've taken or screenshot of his snaps that you have saved in your phone.

You would never admit to anyone that you kept them and they were hidden in your 'for your eyes only' but some nights you just couldn't help but get lost in them. Your door cracked open and you hurried and shoved your phone under your pillow so you could pretend to be asleep.

Tayler crept in your room and peeked around the air mattresses littering your floor until he found Kelianne. He curled up next to her and sweetly kissed her over and over until she started to wake up:
"Taaaayleeeeer... I'm so tired."

Tayler: "I know, baby. I'm sorry. I just missed you. It was driving me crazy being just down the hall and not being able to hold you."

She smiled sweetly at him and kissed him before sitting up.

Tayler: "I can't sleep without you next to me. I just lay awake missing you being all up in my space."

As you watched him lead her to his room in the dark, God your heart just melted right there. You would give anything for someone to love you how he loved that girl.
