Breakfast was interesting.
More interesting than he expected.
He was sat next to Yuta...
And Johnny.
With Jeno across from himself and Kun next to him.
Yuta at the head of the table.
How they fit all nineteen of them at that one table amazed him. More so with there being four extra seats.
Mark was more comfortable than he thought he would be, but less comfortable than he wished to be.
Johnny and Kun questioned him the whole time, asking him things like where he worked and if he had any previous relationships. (He had no clue why they needed to know about past relationships). They asked where he was from in Canada, if he spoke English, and if his parents were in Korea.
The last question made him freeze, memories he didn't want to resurface crashing in like waves on a beach.
The subtle hand Yuta had placed on his knee helped to settle his rising anxiety.
He did learn-and observe-a few things while sitting there.
He learned that Johnny was from America, Jaehyun studied in America for a few years, (and he is also friends with members from other gangs...).
He observed everyone at the table for a while, drinking in the things he learned from everyone's body language.
Yang Yang and Ten were in love, the way they clung to each other made it obvious...
Kun was looking suspicious-only to Mark apparently-he kept his arm under the table the whole time.
Mark then realized he was holding Sicheng's hand.
When he looked down to the other end of the table, three things stuck out to him.
One was how cute Chenle and Jisung were acting, Jeno had told Mark that the two boyfriends' relationship was adorable, but he didn't think it was going to be that adorable.
He also noticed the longing in Jungwoo and Jaehyun's eyes.
Jungwoo was staring at Chenle and Jisung, obviously longing for a relationship like theirs.
But the way Jaehyun was staring at Hendery and Xiaojun made him wonder, was he longing for a relationship like Jungwoo? Or was he longing for a past lover?
.........
After breakfast the three leaders led the group to a large open room.
"Stay here," Yuta whispered.
Mark was slightly alarmed until he noticed Shotaro and Sungchan were standing next to him.
"Hey Mark hyung?" Shotaro's small voice rang out.
"Y-yeah Shotaro?" Mark stuttered, half surprised he was spoken to, half because he was nervous without Yuta by his side.
"Can I hold your hand?"
"W-what?"
"Can I hold your hand? I'm nervous and Sungchan won't let me hold his."
"Yeah because that's weird," Sungchan countered.
"Just because you're nineteen doesn't mean you can't hold hands with people Sungchan. Mark and Yuta were holding hands earlier!"
Mark gulped. He hated how much of a panicked gay he was.
"Shotaro you can hold my hand if it'll make you feel better."
"Thanks Mark hyung!"
Shotaro grabbed Mark's hand, a smile spreading on his face.
