Not everyone in this world has the fate to cherish the fullest form of love. Some are born just to experience the abbreviation of it

I kissed her hair then her forehead, eyes, cheeks and tip of her nose. She stirred in her sleep.
"Happy Marriage Anniversary," I said when she opened her eyes.
"Happy Marriage Anniversary," she said and kissed my cheeks.
"Mommy, Da," shouted our kids. I opened the door and they barged in followed by Aakav and Zara.
"Happy Marriage Anniversary," we wished each other.
"So, you two have a full day alone. We are taking them," Zara said pointing to my children. And they all cheered.
"Come," Aakav said and all of them went with him. They even took Akira, which I'm thankful for.
"Wifey, we are alone in this house. What do you say?" I asked while staring at her. I'm so lucky to have her in my life.
"Movies and food," she said.
"Go and freshen up first," I said to her when she went to the living room. She is truly a baby. My baby.
When she went to the bathroom, I went to the painting room. I went near a painting of her. The painting is a gift from me to her which she will see soon. I have spent 35 minutes to make this.
"Aanav where are you?" Came her voice. I quickly went out fearing that she will come in. She smiled when she saw me. I put all the snacks on the coffee table and she put on the movie.
I heard her coughing multiple times during the movie, I ignored it. But when she was coughing continuously for 30 seconds I looked at her and saw blood on her fingers which were on her mouth. I quickly put the chips on the table and shifted closer to her. I removed her hand from her mouth and saw blood inside her mouth. I quickly took her to the bathroom and she cleaned her mouth.
"Let's go to the hospital," I said and took her hand.
"Aanav no," she protested and removed her hand from my hold.
"Why?" I demanded.
"You know that..." She completed her sentence with her eyes. I know that the hospital brings memories of me being in a coma. But that doesn't mean I can let her cough blood.
"You are coming with me and that's final," I said and again took her hand.
In the hospital, after some tests, I came to know that she is suffering from leukaemia. Not only that I also came to know that she knew about it. She was admitted to the hospital. The doctor told me that she has little time left. I called Aakav and told about Willa's condition.
They came within an hour. Zara went in and came out after 20 minutes with red swollen eyes. Then Aakav went in and finally I had to. Zara informed her parents.
"Aanav," Willa said as soon as I entered.
"Why?" Was the first thing I asked. She looked at me confused.
"Why did you hid it?" I asked. She looked at her hands.
"To create wonderful memories without worry." This time I'm confused.
"If I had told you about it you would always worry about my health. Day and night you would worry about the disease and not us," she said still looking at her hands.
"Willa, when did you know about it?" I asked stopping near her bed.
"When I got the news that I'm pregnant with Aadhira," she said looking at me. Her eyes held tears, guilt and happiness.
I remembered she was distant that day. It was like she was thinking something. I thought that she was thinking the name of our child but little did I know she was thinking about her disease.
She held my hand and made me sit in front of her on the bed.
"Aanav I wanted to make wonderful and beautiful memories with you, only you. I don't want this stupid disease between me and the memories," she said.
"It's not a stupid disease," I said helplessly.
"Aanav, these past 11 years was no less than a fairytale. With you, I forgot about the disease. If I die I can die peacefully. But I have one last ish to die in your arms," she said.
"You will not die, you will stay with me forever. You are only 40 years old. Is this an age to die?" I asked.
"Aanav, don't let our children forget me after I die," she said ignoring whatever I said. "Speaking of children, please send them in," she requested. I nodded and went out for them to go in.
I was standing outside her room for 15 minutes. Suddenly, the food opened and out came Anmol, Alex, Anish and a sleeping Akira.
"Ma is talking to Aadh do and Akansha," Alex informed me and they went towards the stair. After a minute or so, Aadhira and Akansha came out and told me to go in.
I went in and stared at her. Even in a hospital gown, she looks breathtaking.
"Come," she said and made some space for me. "I'm tired and I want to rest," she said. I went and laid beside her. She wrapped her arms around my torso and put her head on my chest. I played with her hair and soon fell asleep with her in my arms. Little did I know that it will be the last time we will sleep together.

At around 4 p.m. I opened my eyes and looked at her and saw her sleeping. I freed myself from her easily. Back in our room, she was like a koala sticking to a branch and the branch is none other than me.
I went to the canteen and ordered two cups of coffee. People bowed to me with respect. I went to our room with the coffees in my hand. She was still sleeping. This girl is sleeping like she hasn't slept for two days. I put the coffee on the table at the other end of the room and went to her.
"Willa," I said softly and kissed her forehead. She didn't stir which is unusual for her. I again tried but nothing happened. I got worried and pug my index and middle finger near her nose. I couldn't feel any breaths. I looked at her stomach and it was not moving. I quickly went out and grabbed the nurse who was passing by the room. She checked her.
"She's no more," she broke the news and went out probably to inform the doctor.
"Willa, Willa wake up," I said while lightly slapping her cheeks.
"Aanav she's no more," someone said from behind me.
"Willa," I shot up.
