"Aanav," I heard her shouting and the cry of my babies.
"Coming," I wailed back and turned my attention towards Aadhira who is covered in paints.
"Aanav, I swear if you don't come in the next thirty seconds then you will lead the life of celibacy," she again shouted after some time.
I groaned. On one side is my wife threatening me and on the other hand is my daughter covered in paint.
I finally made my mind. "Baby, please stay here," I said to Aadhira and quickly went in our room. I saw Willa holding our son.
"Where is my second daughter?" I asked her.
"Under this bed," she said. I peeked under the bed and saw my daughter. I pulled her out.
"Why didn't you call me earlier?" I asked Willa while dusting the dirt off Akansha.
"As far as I know I had called you multiple times. God knows what you were doing with Aadh..." She paused. I looked at her.
"Where is Aadhira?" She asked.
"In the living room."
"Doing what?"
"Playing," I said. With colours, I said in my mind.
"Call her here," she said.
"Let her play," I said. If she sees Aadhira covered in paints from head to toe then she will burst like a volcano.
"Aanav," she said in a threatening tone.
"Ok. But don't shout," I said and went out to Aadhira.
"Pa ainbrow," she said when she noticed me. I took her in my arms and prayed the Moon Goddess for my safety. I reluctantly went to our room.
On seeing us, Willa's eyed widened.
"Aadhira Zate Murray, what were you doing?" She asked.
"Paining," she said shyly. Willa glared at me.
"Aanav, I'm in bed rest for two days and in these two days I saw her covered in food and paint," she said. "Go and wash all those paints," she said.
"Pa, no," Aadhira winced like a two-year-old child but she is four. Too mature.
After a lot of complaining from Aadhira, I finally got all the paints off her.
"See Pa can take care if Aadhira," I said to Willa while carrying our daughter.
"Yeah I saw," she said with an eye roll.
After dinner, I put Aadhira to bed. I also helped Willa to change her clothes. Having an ankle broken is not easy. I put Alex and Akansha on their cribs and got in the bed. I put my hand on Willa's which was on top of Aadhira's belly.
"Will you stay with me?" I don't know why I asked the stupid question. She looked at the sky and then at me.
"Forever," she said with a smile.
