I woke up in the hospital room, where Willa was kept. I saw a girl's back facing me. She is wearing a black saree.
"Who are you?" I asked her. She turned around and I gasped. She was none other than Willa. She had a small smile on her face. She turned again. I started walking towards her but surprisingly the more I walked, the farther she went. Then I started running and it seems that she was also running but her feet were rooted in the same place. I was desperate to reach her. To hold her and never let her go.
Finally, I reached her. I turned her around and without looking at her face, I hugged her.
"I love you," I keep on repeating the phrase for ten times. Then I pulled away from the hug and saw her face. I was shocked. The girl who was Willa a minute ago is Ivy now. She had a smile on her face.
I looked behind her and saw Willa smiling with tears in her eyes and was getting mixed in the air. I pushed Ivy out of the way and ran to prevent Willa from getting mixed with the air, completely. But before I could hold her she was gone.
"Willa," I shouted and found myself in my room on my couch. I looked at the bed and saw it empty. I went to the bathroom and did my business.
I came out of the bathroom and saw Aakav sitting on the couch where I was sleeping.
"Where is your gift?" He asked.
"What gift?" I asked. His eyes grew 10 times bigger.
"Don't you remember the rule?" He asked. I thought of ' the rule ' he is referring to and then it clicked on me. It's a rule of our pack to give something to our mate after the wedding day.
"I don't have anything for her," I admitted.
"Oh, Goddess. You have to giver her something at the breakfast table," he said.
"What should I do?" I asked. He thought for some time and then suddenly took me out of my room. He stopped in front of the painting room.
"Put your talent in use and draw Ivy," he said and pushed me into the room.
I remember I had gifted Willa a box of chocolates and made her favourite dished and she was so happy. Advantages of having a foodie wife.
I got to work and within 30 minutes, the sketch is ready. I opened the door and saw Aakav standing outside the door.
"You done?" He asked. I nodded. He took me to the breakfast table where Zara and Ivy were sitting. Aakav pushed me towards Ivy and took a seat beside Zara.
"This is for you," I said and handed her the sketch. She smiled seeing it and looked at me.
"Thank you," she said.
After breakfast, I went to my office and started my work.
"Go and pack your bags," Aakav said coming into my office.
"May I know the occasion?" I slashed without looking at him.
"Ivy and you are going on a honeymoon," he said casually.
"What?" I asked looking at him with wide eyes.
"Chill bro. We are going to the Alpha Summit," he said and sat on the chair.
"Now?" I asked.
"Yes. It's an emergency," he said and took the file, on which I was working, from me.
"You go and get ready. I'll complete this," he said. Who will say that he is my Alpha?
I went to my room and started packing when I heard the sound of the door opening.
"Willa, I'm going to the Alp..." I stopped when I smelled rose and honey. I looked at the door and saw Ivy controlling her tears. When she saw me looking at her, she gave me a mile.
Without thinking I went to her and cupped her cheeks. She craned her neck and looked at me through her glistening eyes. A tear escaped from her right eyes. I rubbed it with my thumb.
I wanted to move away from her but I couldn't because Ian has taken control of me. I could feel my eyes glowing. I should gain control or else Ivy will get the wrong idea.
After a lot of effort, I gain control over myself. I left her cheek and went to the washroom. I locked the door and stood before the sink. I turned on the tap and sprinkled water on my face.
"What were you doing?" I asked Ian.
"Something which a perfect mate should do," he retorted.
"Ian, Willa is our mate," I said trying to get my point through his thick skull.
"I know and I still love her but that doesn't mean that I should not cherish my second mate," he said.
"Ian, please I want some time to accept Ivy," I said sounding sad.
"Stupid dunderhead," he said and shut me off. Really Dunderhead.
I came out of the washroom after wiping my face with a towel. I took the duffel bag and turned to the door. I was surprised because Ivy was still standing there, looking shocked.
"Ivy," I called her hoping to get a response. But she gave no response. I went to her and shook her shoulder and she looked at me.
"I am sorry..." I started.
"Your eyes were glowing," she said before I could finish my sentence.
"That's Ian. He was trying to take control. Anyway, what happened today will not happen again," I said and crossed her to go.
"Oh. I'm going to the Alpha Summit. I will come on Friday," I said and went out without looking back.
At 8:30 pm, Aakav and I reached Silver Pack, where the summit is held. The Alpha of the pack greeted us in front of the house.
"Lydia will show you your room," Alpha Arnav said. We followed a woman. She showed Aakav his room first, the mine.
After dinner, I laid on my bed. I was thinking about Ivy. What is she doing? Did she have her dinner? What did she eat? What is she doing now?
I don't know if I should be happy or sad about thinking of Ivy. But one thing I'm sure of is that I'm scared.
