Throughout the day, I was with Nathan showing him around the school. It was lunch time, so we walked to the cafeteria. We went in line and grabbed some food, then I offered to pay for him, just to be nice since it was his first day. "Oh no, (y/n), you don't have to!" Nathan said. "No, let me pay, it's your first day and I want to do something nice for you." He gave in and let me pay. "Thanks." He said as we were walking to a table. "No problem!" I saw Daniel sitting down at the table waiting for me and nudged Nathan to come sit with us. "Hey LaRusso!" I said, taking a seat. "Hey (y/n)! Who's this?" He asked. "This is Nathan, he's new." Daniel smiled and said, "Oh, well welcome to West Valley! I'm Daniel LaRusso." then put his hand out to shake his. "Thanks. Nice to meet you Daniel." He sat down and the three of us started talking and joking around with each other. I was surprised at how well we all got along. The bell rang and it was time for the last class of the day. All three of us had the same 5th period which was History, so we walked there together.
*after class*
The bell rang and it was time to go home. I invited Nathan over to our place to hangout, so we walked home together. Nathan was talking to me the whole time, and I could tell Daniel felt a left out. I felt bad, so I started talking and asking Daniel the questions Nathan asked me. We got to our apartment and since we didn't have any homework, we were in the living room playing 'UNO'. After a few rounds, Nathan got up and told us he had to go home. Daniel said bye and went to our room, and I walked Nathan to the front door. "Thank you," he said. "For what?" I asked cocking an eyebrow. "Everything. Standing up to that guy who was going to beat me up, showing me around the school, being my friend, and having me over to hangout." I smiled and said, "Aw of course!" He smiled at me, then said "Bye". I said it back and went back inside. He was kinda cute, not gonna lie, but he wasn't my type. He was a little too talkative, and he left Daniel out a lot, which made me upset. He's a good friend though.
I walked into my room and saw Daniel laying on his bed staring at the ceiling. "Whatcha thinkin' about?" I asked. He looked at me and said, "Oh, nothing." I just laughed and sat at the desk. "Don't worry, I don't like him." I said taking turning around to face him. "What?" Daniel asked, sitting up. "I don't like Nathan if that's what you're thinking." I saw his cheeks get a little red which I thought was cute. "I wasn't thinking that!" I smiled. "Yeah, sure. Then what were you thinking about?" I said, crossing my arms. "I was thinking about how beautiful the ceiling is..." I started laughing and so did he. I still liked Daniel, and I know he still liked me. I would like to date again, but I just don't think we're ready to start again. Maybe in a couple years...
