It was around 6:30, so I decided to get ready for my date with Daniel. I showered, put on some clothes, fixed my hair, and walked out the bathroom. I sat on the couch waiting for Daniel to get ready so we could go. About 15 minutes later Daniel came out and we headed for the door. Daniel grabbed my hand and started swinging it around. "I'm glad we're back together." He whispered in my ear. I turned to him and smiled. "Me too." I whispered underneath my breath. We looked at each other, then kept walking. "You know how to roller skate?" He asked. "No," "Then why do you wanna go on a date to a skating rink?" "I want to learn, and it sounds fun. Do you know how to roller skate?" I said, turning to him. Daniel was silent for a second, then he said, "No..." I laughed and shook my head. "Well, we can learn together!" I said. He smiled and wrapped an arm around me.
We got to the skating rink and got ourselves a pair of skates. We put them on and walked carefully to the rink. I started pushing myself to skate and it was surprisingly easy. I got the hang of it pretty quickly. I was skating around the whole rink, then I saw Daniel struggling. I laughed a bit, then went over to him. "I thought you said you didn't know how to skate?" He asked. "I didn't, but now I do!" He just looked at me and shook his head. I grabbed his hand and said, "Here, let me help you. It isn't that hard." He held on to me and I started skating. Daniel was pretty stiff at first, but then got the hang of it and started to loosen up a bit. "You're right, this isn't that- WHOA" He said, then fell. I couldn't help but laugh out loud. I put my hand out and helped him up. "You ok?" I asked. "Yeah, I'm ok." We started to skate again, and I bursted out laughing.
"What's so funny?" Daniel asked. "Nothing. It's just, you-" I wasn't even able to finish my sentence because I was laughing too much. "You were about to say, 'This isn't that hard', then you ended up falling." I was laughing so hard, I was crying. Daniel tried to look mad at me, but couldn't help himself and laughed a bit. "I'm sorry for laughing, but that was funny." Daniel held my hand and said, "It's ok. I thought it was a little funny too." then started laughing with me.
