As training finished and the sun was setting I walked to Kris' office. I decided to talk to her for a bit or see if she needed any help with anything since we didn't get that official catch-up we wanted. When I got to her door I raised my hand to knock but stopped myself as I heard yelling inside. I pressed my ear against the door and heard Trad's voice.
"It's a risky move."
"I know that!" Kris' voice rang out. "Life is always a gamble!" Trad sighed on the other end and that's when I decided to come in.
"Hey Kris, Trad." Kris smiled at me as Trad turned to leave. He gave me a very noble nod and shut the doors behind him.
"Hey, Ally." Kris sighed.
"Stressed?" I asked as I sat on one of her fluffy couches.
"Little bit. What're you doing here?"
"Eh, just wanted to know if you needed anything. Or if you wanted to catch up. Or if you just want to rant to me about your feelings." Kris smiled again. She looked like she was about to stand up but decided against it. She turned back to her computer and started typing furiously. I raised an eyebrow and walked behind her as she talked.
"Nope, no help needed here." I looked over her shoulder and found her on a new document with absolute gibberish on it. I chuckled a little and closed the laptop.
"You're worried about something aren't you?" She nodded slowly.
"It's just that...everything fell apart when Free left. How am I supposed to recover? The Royals have a good shot at beating us. What if they do? What will I have to prove to the world that BC Sol can do this?" She sighed sadly. I could tell she was on the brink of tears so I put my hands on her shoulders and rubbed them soothingly.
"Kris, look. You aren't the only one who wants to bring the team to the top. And something I must point out was that there were too many 'I's' in that sentence. You can't do this alone Kris." She looked up at me confusedly.
"I can't?" She said softly. I nodded while smiling.
"You can't. But we sure can. You've got a whole team here to back you up! We can do this Kris. Together." She smiled and nodded.
"Thanks. Maybe a talk was what I needed."
*Later That Day*
I stood there, with my fists balled up and my eyes bugging out. I probably looked really stupid but at the moment I couldn't really have cared less. Right now, the others and I had just finished listening to Silas' horrible story about Ghasem Madal. Apparently, Silas did know him but couldn't be bothered enough to tell us! But I wasn't mad about that. I was mad about something else. Something much more important.
"Excuse me?!" I hollered. I pushed my way in front of the little crowd to look at Silas clearly. I could visibly see everyone flinch at my tone. I stood in the light of the sinking sun and eyed the green-haired blader.
"Did I hear you right?!" I said again. "Are you telling me you broke a bey?" Silas grunted annoyed.
"Yeah? So?" I growled at his response.
"So? So?! Don't you know that breaking a bey is unforgivable?! No matter who wields it, or what it looks like, you do not break a bey." Silas rolled his eyes at me and turned to walk away.
"Yeah, whatever." My anger died down a little to see Valt thinking hard about what I had just said. I sighed and faced Silas.
"It's so disappointing to see how much you don't care about what I'm saying." Silas stopped and faced me but I just walked away as well. I shoved my hands into my pockets and went back to BC Sol. Shasa chased after me and walked with me. I raised an eyebrow at her and she gave me a stern look.
