I know it's long overdue but let me know what you think!

  " the ship is down, but a lot of rats didn't go down with it. Hydra is weak now, but they are still out there so that means our job isn't done yet. Suit up!" Steve was wrapping up the meeting with the team before they start taking out remote hydra basses.

   " glad the gang is back together. since shield fell I am kinda unemployed right now." Clint smiled and picked up his drum sticks as he sat up straight in his chair.

   " good for you.but it's time to suit up no one wants to hear about your sappy unemployment story. "Cap looked at Natasha as she teased Clint. All she did in response is shrugging her shoulders before standing up and going to get ready.

   Tony had his hands behind his neck in a relaxed fashion for the last few minutes. He sat  straight and gripped the edge of the conference table to bring him self closer. " do we actually have intel on the base or are we winging the mission like the last time? I need to get prepared."

" three undercover shield agents confirmed that the base is actually much more technically advanced than others and that they have a mutant on their side. Before their covers got blown and we are the extraction plan." Steve looked at Tony's general direction when he talked with his eyes occasionally straying at Bruce sitting next to him.

   "is Thor joining in on this?" Bruce asked Steve as he started gathering the notes and pens and stacked them up neatly next to his tablet on the table. Getting ready to leave the room after the debriefing is over.

   "if he makes it before we're done." Steve stood up and started to gather his things to get ready as well.

" why are we taking so long guys?!" Natasha zapped another trooper and reloaded her guns as she saw another wave coming at them from the base the team is still trying so hard to get in.

" when cap said technologically advanced I thought he meant better hitting power not better avengers blackout curtains."Clint was busy evading getting shot at and stopped behind a tree to take cover. Unfortunately, he wasn't very fortunate and a hydra bunker got him bad.

" Clint's shot! Someone take care of that bunker"once Nat said before Hulk went smashing through it.

"Thanks!" Was the hurried response Nat gave as she heavily packed Clint's wound to prevent him from bleeding out.

Tony tried one more shot at the power supply of the shield dome the base had and it lucky worked. " the bridge is down people" was his quip as the avengers got into the base.

Tony flew in at once and shot every hydra scientist in the room down, once that was over with and Jarvis had started recovering data per his creator's request, tony felt like wandering around the base for a bit. Call it a gut feeling but he felt like he actually needed to mess around a bit.

Once again with Jarvis' help he found a secret door leading to a dimly lit stairway " not creepy at all" was another quip he believed wasn't meant to be heard.

As Tony began climbing down the stairs he felt like he was watched but once he quickly reached the hidden lab he found what the avengers had come for in the first place.

The scepter was as glowing and as bright as ever.

Tony took a brief look around the room to find all kinds of alien tech and a robotics lab as well.
