A walk down memory lane

"There weren't a lot of similarities when it came to talking about the avengers. Don't get me wrong, they are superheroes fighting together to insure that the day when humanity is doomed will never come. But other than that they are very different in all sorts of ways.

A WW2 legend who still lives up to the expectations, a genius billionaire playboy and philanthropist, a great scientist with breathtaking anger management issues, two deadly assassins, and a Norse mythology god who turned out to be an alien. I can't see any thing in common.

But if there is anything in common it's not in the way any one can describe them in a sentence. It is what made them that way. It is there past. That all want through hell and back to be where they are. It's why something like "Heroes are not born. They are made" is true. Some might argue that they didn't suffer to get there powers.

And let's start with captain Rogers. He was leading a very very tiring life with all the diseases and disorders you can imagine in his body. It's like they ganged up on him! I can't imagine how many days he spent in a hospital because of it and the thought alone makes me fell sick. He lived in a time of great wars when his country needed the best young men to defend and fight for thier rights. And he wanted to be that very badly, but wasn't. Fate had its course and captain Rogers finally found the opportunity to become what he wanted. What his country needed him to be. And then he sacrificed with a life that he wished he had only to be thrust seventy years in the future.

Then there is the genius. The one who isn't a team player. Tony stark. There is no doubt that he spent thirty years of his life in a typical stereotype that we all imagine a billionaire is leading. When he became iron man it was a promise. To himself and to all of us. That he will change to be better. And he kept that promise after all.

Luckily he wasn't the only genius in the team. There is DR banner as well. As far as I know. And that's not much. He was one of the very selective few who could keep up with stark. Unfortunately he spent a lot trying to escape and hide. And he had all reasons to. But he choose to step up and help when we needed him. In more ways that we needed actually.

Who's next? Yeah. The agents. Rommanof and Barton. They have spent there lives doing what is best for the greater good for this nation and its interests. And every time they did they were putting there life's on the line for us. Risking all and doing what's right. They are a great example for team effort and we owe them a great debt long before they became Avengers.

Last but not least of a long list of heroes. The mighty Thor. He was never forced to help us. Tot he did any ways. He helped when our greatest weapons couldn't make a scratch against an alien army led by galactic warlords. He came to earth when his people needed a new home. And we consider that a great honor by its self.

What I'm trying to say. If I am saying anything at all is that the world owes a great debt to them all and many that time didn't help me speak of today. If it weren't the entire universe. And no matter how we try to pay them. We will never pay the debt. They suffered to save us. And they didn't hesitate to pay their lives as a price to do the right thing. Thank you all for being here to celebrate in their memory today. Thank you".

The secretary stepped down from the podium and greeted some random officers while he was on his way to a brunette woman in a simple but beautiful black dress.
" Miss Stark, I am very happy to see you here today."The secretary of defense greeted her. He was aware that she was invited. But he didn't expect her to show up. After all it was a memorial to the avengers that was held the same day that her father died almost twenty years ago.

" me too secretary Jefferson. And Morgan is fine. Miss Stark makes me feel old." Morgan responded with a small smile that wasn't really reaching her eyes.

"Fine, as long as you call me Alex. Secretary is still unfamiliar to me." He told her in hopes of getting to know something about the strong independent and crazy genius woman.

"But you've been the secretary for the last three months. And being on top of the chain of command, it kinda grows one anyone very easily." Morgan told him in a slightly teasing voice. Just joking around. It's what she needs to get over with this. "I hope my reports have been useful to you. Cause you know, you quoted some of the quotes I quoted in these reports. It's a great speech non the less. Very touchy feels stuff. The kind that makes your heart melt." She told him her opinion about the opening speech of the private event.

" thank you, Morgan. Your reports of the missions the avengers did was very very inspiring. Are you planing on staying?" He asked her trying to avoid the fact that almost all of his speech is in her reports

" not for long. I have to fly back to New York tonight."She told him. Remembering that she had to stay at the compound for the next few weeks to make sure her projects will be ok during the redesigning process. Since the labs are the second most important place in the compound. " it's a pleasure meeting you today, Alex. It's a great party but unfortunately my time here is up." She told him after seeing her mother approaching her.

" the pleasure is all mine. Till the next time then?" He asked with a small smile hoping for an answer.

" till the next time." And she did give him the answer he wanted.

Morgan walked with her mother out of the venue reserved for the event an towards the driver's seat in the Audi new R8. " the new secretary seems to be a friendly one. Right?" Peter asked her with a glance and a smirk as she sat at the passenger seat and going with her daughter to the airport.

" anything but Ross. He is just the worst."
Morgan said to her mother as she focused on the road ahead of her. " let's go back home."

I know it was a confusing one in the beginning but I wanted to write something like a tribute to them. And the idea that we will wait along time before the new avengers arrive to the big screen makes me sad. They waited for like five years before the first one just to introduce the characters. And now marvel is doing it all over again. Also another reason why I wrote this is because it is sooooo cheesy and I love it an I wanted to write something and publish it before the second semester starts and it's gonna be so packed with courses. And it also feels like they know that I hate maths and that's why they decided to put two maths courses. Just great!!!
