December 2014, United States.

Aurora Evans

"Aurora give me your suitcase" Ruby says, walking past me on the bus. It is so small that we almost tripped over the feet and bags of the people in the bus. Ruby pulls my suitcase out of my hands and throws it onto a shelf above our heads.

"Now sit down please" the bus driver shouts, looking at us with furrowed eyebrows. I fell in my seat next to the window, rolling my eyes.

"Jesus she is in a bad mood" I say as I put on my seat belt and hang forward to secure my hair in a high ponytail.

"Everyone gets a bad mood from us two Aurora." She says to me as she took off her coat and hung it over the chair in front of us. Not caring that the seats in front of us were taken. The boy in front of us turned and looked through the small gap between the two chairs, rolled his eyes and threw the coat at Ruby.

"Please don't throw my stuff." She says in a sassy tone.

"First of all, keep your coat with you" a deep voice suddenly speaks next to him. We couldn't see his face, only his hair. It was brown curly prince hair, a little greasy.

"Calm down sir in a deep voice" she snatches back at him.

Deep voices are hot though.

Ruby and I have been best friends since we were born. Our moms are friends too, that's why we have known each other for so long. We have been through a lot together, which is why we can understand each other very well.

Our dads passed away when they were on a ski trip together when we were only seventeen. They ended up under snow and had their last breathe there. Since then we have been living with each other and our moms.

Our moms found it very difficult to send us together to the same place where they died. But for us it felt like we could finally feel the connection between our fathers again when we will go here.

Ruby has always been the perfect girl. I never understood why because she's just Ruby. She gets all the attention from boys, has a lot of friends beside me. And is really open. I'm really shy, which is really annoying when I'm alone with people. If Ruby is around me I feel more confident, which is really nice.

"We should do something fun, you can't stare outside the window for a five hour ride." She said while she tried to get my attention.

I'm not in the mood for having fun, thinking about life is enough sometimes.

"What do you want to do? Our phones are at home."

The camp is all about having fun without the internet. We chose for this type of camp to socialise a lot with other people. I'm not really a spontaneous person, but Ruby obviously makes me feel more confident.

"What about talking to the guys in front of us. We have to spend four weeks at the camp with them so we can get to know them already. " She suggests, pushing me a little.

"Rub, I don't know. They don't look very nice to be honest " I say while looking down at my knees.

"Don't be so boring cmon." She said as she gave me a convincing shove on my shoulder.

"You guys are talking about us huh?"  The guy says with the curly hair, little greasy. as he turned around. His friend turned around too and kept staring at Ruby.

He had fake bleached dead hair and bright blue eyes. The blonde guy has a few tattoos compared to the curled haired one and gosh they look so intimidating.
