"How many minutes are left?" I scream into Harry's ear. He stands behind me, holding my waist with his big, attractive hands.
He picks his phone out of his front pockets and looks at the time.
11:56 PM
"Four minutes till 2015" he speaks, on a normal volume in my ear.
2014 has been a good year, I have experienced nice moments and of course lesser ones. Compared to 2013, I can call this year successful. I met so many new people and made the times of my life.
Finally I left my ex behind, who was definitely not worth it. Months after our break up, end of 2012, he still sent me hundreds of messages, how much he loved me and that I am better off with him. I can tell you, I feel like a free woman without him.
Honestly, I wasn't looking for love. It came my way and I think that's for the best. The thing with Harry isn't official yet, we're waiting on that too. We know each other, but not well enough. I want to spend more time with him to see how he is, how we are together.
I feel the grip of Harry's hands loosen and am pulled from one side out of the crowd. I bump into all sorts of strangers, my cup with drinks falls at my feet. An arm drags me to the other side of the pool and suddenly I'm face to face with Ruby.
"You scared the hell out of me. I thought some random boy was trying to kidnap me." I say under my breath as I reach for my heaving chest with my hand.
"Oops, sorry. But I have to tell you what just happened." She says enthusiastically.
"Okay but not too long because it's almost time." She nods fiercely.
"I just had my first orgasm" she says in a slightly lower tone.
"Should I congratulate you on that? No kidding, fun? I guess?" I say smiling.
"So you had sex with Niall?" I say right after.
"A few times already yeah, but my orgasm just didn't come. Now it sputtered off though, wow what was that a good sex"
"Happy for you" I say with a broad smile.
"Have you done exciting things with Harry?" She asks as she takes a sip of her drink, she is already so drunk.
I shake my head.
"Not really, but it will come" I say with a wink.
"I mean, he's so hot I'd even do him" she says laughing.
"Ruby!" I say in embarrassment.
"If you have any questions about... you know.... that... you can find me"
"Yes I probably do need that" I say laughing, showing my teeth.
"Handy to have a slutty girlfriend huh?"
"You're not a slut, you just hook up with a lot of guys"
"That's slutty" she says laughing to herself. She always calls herself a slut, a bit of a self-deprecating character. I'm not really someone who does self-mockery, I'm more of a closed book. Especially with those things.
"Look at him, so hot" Ruby says as she hugs me. We both stare at Harry, who is taking his first shot of the evening.
"He is, he tastes good too" I say.
"Did you suck his dick?!" She says as she immediately lets go of me and looks at me with an open mouth full of surprise.
"Noo, just his lips... you know" I say while rolling my eyes.
