The front door is slammed with a loud bang and shortly thereafter we hear the sound of sneakers being thrown to the ground. I'm sitting in the corner of the biggest couch I've ever seen with my favorite book on my lap, just to travel to another world and not have to think about anything else.

Ruby is sitting in front of the stove staring ahead of her, we still don't have a phone so we have been bored to death. Also, we haven't exchanged a word in the time the boys have been at the meeting. By now it has gotten dark, it was also time for them to come home.

Liam and Louis are the first to come out of the hall, they look tired and walk straight upstairs. Zayn follows them and smiles a little softly at me. He walks towards the kitchen and grabs some from the fridge. Niall throws the door open and you can immediately tell from the atmosphere that he is grumpy.

Of course I know why but it still makes me feel towards him. I look away at my book again but I can already hear Niall's footsteps coming closer.

"You two, come with me." He says with his lips still half together and his jaws pressed tightly together.

I swallow the lump in my throat with difficulty and look up to see when Ruby follows him. Without looking at me, Ruby gets up and walks after Niall. I roll my eyes and finally stand up. Niall takes big steps, which I can barely keep up with my small legs, and opens the door to a room I've never been in.

The curtains in the room are closed, an ornate lamp hangs from the ceiling giving it a rich look, which it is. The entire want of the wall is filled with bookcases. Hundreds of books and folders are stowed in the tall white bookcase. He sits down on the chair next to the wooden table in the room. Ruby and I both sit down on a chair too.

"Who had the balls to enter my room and especially look in my closet." He asks with a serious voice. It's scaring me because Niall is never been so serious. He always jokes around.

I look at Ruby, but she doesn't look back. I try to speak, but no words are leaving my lips. My hands run through my wavy hair and I wait until someone says something. Actually I am the one who should be saying something, because I did it.

"I don't know what you're talking about, what's so special about your room anyway?" I ask.

"Listen, you stay here because we are trying to save your life. But that doesn't mean you live here and can look in my closet. It's not a damn museum."

"I didn't even enter your room." I say, obviously I'm lying. But what else should I do. If I tell him the truth he will be pissed at me for days, he is not that kind of person who forgives someone after an hour. Like me.

There falls a moment of peaceful silence. Luckily it's not an awkward silence, just a silence that needs to be there.

"I did" Ruby says after a long minute.

Woah, since when is she nice to me?

"You did?" Niall repeats.

She nods.

"Why did you open the closet then?"  He asked sassy.

"It was open, and I wanted to close it but that stupid alarm went off- ."

"We all know that she knows what you're hiding in that room so don't pretend you didn't tell her because you definitely did." I say as I cut off Ruby's sentence.

He blinks a couple times and stares at me.

"Find another place to hide your stuff because a closet isn't a good place. And how can someone know that he or she isn't allowed to enter that room? Exactly, not." I speak again.
