After the first slap came another one, and another one, and another one. All in different places. Akio looked so pleased to see Mafuyu in pain that it was actually disturbing. At this point, he was doing it for his own enjoyment instead of punishment.
Now there were red hand shaped marks all over Mafuyu, and the pain came in waves. It wasnt too bad compared to some of the other thing's he'd had done to him before, so he didn't complain. He just sat there and took it.
In his mind, he thought it'd be over sooner if he was passive. No one would hurt such a helpless boy, right? Surely even the most evil of people would feel sorry for him.
Turns out he was wrong.
"Get that stupid look off your face!!" Akio yelled; his true colors finally showing as he stopped trying to hide behind a kind facade. "You're really asking for it, son. Grow the fuck up!!" After that, he delivered a swift punch to Mafuyu's face, making his nose bleed. "I swear if you get any blood on my couch you're fucking dead."
Caught off guard by the punch, Mafuyu yelped; a sound similar to the one his dog would make if his paw got stepped on. Then, he covered his mouth with his hands, trying not to make another sound while also catching the blood from his nose.
"That'll teach you not to avoid questions." His father said harshly, shoving him to the side. "Now because you've caused so much trouble, I think its only fair that you do the dishes. By hand." Even though there was a perfectly functional dishwasher installed rught next to the sink. "Get to it. Now." Akio sighed and sat back down on the couch after Mafuyu got up, watching him hurry to the kitchen. "And clean yourself up while you're at it. I dont want your filthy blood everywhere."
Mafuyu nodded, shakily going to the kitchen and washing his face before picking up the soap and a sponge. He did the dishes one by one, having to rinse his face in between each dish because of the blood stream flowing from it. He went as fast as he could, wondering if he could escape to another room and call his mother.
After he was done, he left the faucet on, hoping it would cover the noise of his footsteps leading to the other room. He went fast but quietly, pulling his phone out of his pocket to call someone.
After dialing his mother's number, he waited for her to pick up. "Hello..?" He spoke into the phone, but was apperantly too loud. His father heard him.
"What do you think you're doing??" He hung up the phone right away and threw it across the room. "You're making my water bill higher. And you're trying to escape already?? You haven't even been hurt that badly. What a damn baby." He kicked Mafuyu in the shins and watched him fall. "If you cant handle a few little slaps you're going to hate what's coming for you next." Akio was obviously trying to hide the smirk on his face. "Now get up and go to the couch. It looks like you're going to need some old fashion discipline."
Mafuyu fell to the ground, hugging his legs and rubbing the one that got kicked. "Yes sir.." he bowed his head again and made himself look pathetic as he walked over to the couch.
Reluctantly, he sat down, being as still as he could. And after what seemed like too soon, his father approached.
Without saying a word, he punched Mafuyu in the stomach as hard as he could. It took the wind right out of him, and he coughed. With wide eyes, he struggled to get his breath back. But before he could even try, a swift punch was delivered to his chest and it made his lungs falter. Then, there were two synchronized punches to his ribs, and one more to his stomach at the end. It was sure to make it hard for him to breathe, and it was sure to be extremely painful. That was Akio's intention.
Mafuyu gasped for air and coughed up blood, getting the blood just about everywhere. He yelped and cried out for air, but because his ribs were now also damaged, every breath in was like daggers to his sides. He looked Akio directly in the eyes, and covered his mouth with his hands once again. He'd just been very loud, plus there was blood on the couch. Both of which were against the rules. This was bad...
Meanwhile, Uenoyama was pacing around his room, wondering how Sato was doing. He really hoped that nothing bad was happening to him... But he had an awful feeling in his gut. If there was one thing he knew, it was that he should always listen to his gut. It was correct more often than not. That being said, he got on his shoes, put on a sweatshirt, and grabbed Mafuyu's sweater to use it as an excuse for coming.
He walked over to Akio's residence, carrying the neatly folded sweater in one arm and putting the other in his pocket. Truth be told, there was a secret can of pepper spray in there in case he needed it.
Once he finally got there, he knocked on the door with a shaking fist. "Sato-san..? I'm sorry to bother you... Mafuyu-san forgot his sweater..." After he spoke, he immediately regretted it. Why did he use Mafuyu's first name?? That had to be a dead giveaway of their relationship. But what else was he supposed to do?? Him and his father had the same last name, and it would be confusing to call them the same thing! He started to internally panic, blushing brightly as a man came to open the door.
"Hello sir." Ritsuka said with a slight bow. "I'm really sorry for intruding. I just dont want Mafuyu-san to be cold..." he held out the sweater while trying to stealthily peek into the house. From where he was, Mafuyu couldn't be seen, but he did see a splatter of red on the couch... was that blood??
"Ah, thank you.." Akio replied, taking the sweater. He took note of their first name basis, and he also took note of how closely Uenoyama was trying to look into the house. "I'll make sure to give it to him. Right now, he's helping me paint one of the rooms. Now theres red pain all over... I'll probably need a new couch." He thought that would be the perfect coverup for the blood.
"Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to get back to it." He smiled at him slightly waved before closing the door. Kindness was a facade that he was excellent at keeping up.
As soon as the door closed, Mafuyu came out of his hiding spot. He'd been ordered to hide behind the couch so no one could see his labored breathing and bloody face. Akio threw his sweater at him, and thought for a moment before speaking.
"Who was that?" He asked. "First name basis, huh? That's so sweet its sickening." He smirked at Mafuyu and flicked his forehead. "You actually have friends? Really? You're such a loser. I bet he just hangs out with you out of pity." He chuckled a little, but then got serious again, coming close to Mafuyu's face and lifting his chin with his hand. "Who is he to you?"
Mafuyu's face turned a bright shade of pink, and he gulped. "He's my... partner." Yes, a partner. He didnt specify what kind of partner, though. For all Akio knew, he could mean partner on a school project. "His name is Uenoyama." Sato was shaking, but he didnt dare make a move to get away.
"Partner?" Akio's expression stiffened. It seemed he caught on." He slapped him in the face and held his chin a bit firmer. "I always knew you'd grow up to be this disgusting. I should've just smothered you with a pillow when you were little." He looked him right in the eyes. "If you so much as mention what happened in this house to anyone, he's dead. I've got many knives I can easily slit a throat with." He then let go of Mafuyu's chin and kicked him right in the head.
But it seemed he kicked a little too hard...
Now instead of sitting on the floor, Mafuyu was laying there. Completely unconcious.
Akio knocked him right out.
