Namjoons POV

I woke up to a dark living room and the blanket over my body, I reach over and feel on the little coffee table.

What time is it?

After a couple minutes of aimlessly searching my fingers finally felt the smooth plastic case. I pressed the power button only to be hit with the light of sixteen Suns.

2:30am

I rub my eyes and stand up.

Did Taelin go to her room?

I stretch and move my arms around knowing full and well I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep for a while so why not bother Taelin in the process?

I knew she was probably still awake so I strutted to her room and opened the door.

Her light was on but she wasn't in her room. I checked the bathroom, she wasn't there either.
I decided to call her but her phone went to voicemail. I began to worry until I heard a ding and a message from her popped up

Moon:
Hey Joon sorry I'm out with a friend.

I left her on read, I didn't know what to say to that. What friend was she with? Why didn't she at least tell me first?

She's an adult she does what she wants

I shoo'd my conscience away still being upset she didn't wake me up.

Taelins POV

Namjoon had left me on read, I sighed and put my phone back in my pocket.

"So what do you think changed in the way you see him?"

Hoseok said looking at me judgement free, he rubbed my back to comfort me.

"I don't know I just feel different around him..."

Hoseok just nodded and look on at the stars. We both fell silent but it wasn't a bad silent. It was a good silence, one that comforts you without the need for words.

Although I did feel bad for basically forcing Hobi to come here with me he told me not to feel bad and asked what kinda friend he would be if he didn't.

We drove about twenty minutes to get to the lake we decided on.

I forgot the name, I forget a lot of things.

The water looked heavenly as it reflected the night sky as if it were a mirror.

Jump in.

"No."

I absent mindedly respond to my own thought, not realizing I'd said something out loud.

"What?"

Hoseok looks to me confused, his brows knitted and lips pulled into that same pout.

"Hm? Nothing, I was just thinking about jumping in."

"And you said no to yourself?"

I nod in response to his question.

"The more I get to know you Taelin, the stranger you get."

"Hey you eat chips with whipped cream and drink liquor like an old lady eating desserts, I don't wanna hear anything out of you Hoseok."

We both laugh at our little back and forth.

"Jumping in doesn't look like a bad idea now that I think about it. "

Hoseok said suddenly, his face was dead serious as he looked at me and that was all I needed to hear as I started to take my shoes off.

I left all of my clothes on while Hoseok took off his shirt.

The water was lukewarm, it wasn't cold but wasn't exactly hot either.

We swam for a good forty five minutes before pulling ourselves up onto the pier.

As I was putting my shoes back on my phone started to ring.

Big brother channie

I exhaled before answering and putting the phone to my ear.

"Why the hell is Namjoon calling me telling me you aren't home, further more why aren't you home? You know it's not safe right?"

Chanbyeoks voice was soft but stern which surprised me.

"Im with my really good friend Hoseok I'm safe and as for Namjoon he's just a snitch and I'll deal with him in a bit."

Chanbyeok hummed in response and knew he was skeptical but sounded too tired to fight, we hung up shortly after I expressed I loved him and was going to see him soon.

"Should we get you back home?"

Hoseok had been so quiet I'd forgotten he was even there for a moment but I nodded and we had been on our way. I got home around four in the morning hoping Joon was asleep or wouldn't confront me, I needed to keep a distance until I could figure out what the hell I was feeling.

He walked me up to me apartment and we said our goodbyes. I fished my keys out of my pocket but before I could unlock the door it swung open.
