Most ships in WoF get mentioned a lot-ish, even after the book they are mentioned in. For example, Clay and Peril. Meet in book 1, Peril goes to JMA book 8, and Cleril is mentioned all the way through the second arc.
Glory and Deathbringer. Met in book 3. Slightly less talked about, but book 9, we have Deathy being smug and stuff, and in book 7, the whole Icicle thing and Winter being smushed into the ground by Deathbringer sitting on him, other stuff I don't remember....
Then we have Starflight. He is hopelessly in love with Sunny. Then he meets Fatespeaker. This stuff is all through the first arc, then more when Fatespeaker helps Starflight at JMA.
BUT! Where is the Ripnami? They met in book 2, then POOF vanished! Did Coral do something? Is Tsunami too busy to see him? Is Riptide to busy to see her? Even when Tsunami swam, to a whole other freaking continent, WHERE WAS THE SAPPY GOODBYE?! Actually now that I think about it, Kinkajou didn't come for Turtle when he went either... BUT STILL. THIS CANNOT GO UNEXPLAINED.
