(A/N sorry if the names of the chapters are a little bland I'm trying to focus on making the actual chapters as good as possible and I'm not great at naming things so ya! Anyways...onto the chapter! :D Oh yeah, and reminder this is in Liv's perspective again since she is now awake!)
I woke up on a couch with something extremely heavy on my knee. 'What the heck-' I thought, trying to move my leg without much luck.
Then I noticed a figure sleeping on the other side of the couch. Where was I? And who was that?
Oh crap the figure woke up. He looked at me then around the room and then back at me again. I rubbed my neck, it still being sore from when I slept behind that crappy dumpster.
Wait-"Oh shit wheres the money??" I bolted upright just to quickly flop back down again.
"Ow...it feels like my headache has a headache..." I mumbled, not being able to even move my eyes very far.
"Makes sense, Dad-I mean the doctor said it would be hurting for a bit." the boy said nonchalantly, his voice still low and groggy from waking up.
"Wait. You took me to a doctor?! You idiot, I could've been caught! And what's this crap on my leg??" I growled.
Honestly, I'm already tired of this guy and I don't even know him yet.
Calm your jets, I took you to my dad, and I erased his memory after. He'll wake up today not even remembering how he got home."
Yet again with this guy's calmness levels talking about the craziest things!
"Ok well I have to get home so thanks for taking me to a doctor bye." I tried to get up again, holding my head with one hand and tugging at the braced leg with my other.
The boy laughed. "I don't think you'll be able to go anywhere for a while. You broke your knee, probably won't be able to walk for months."
"Fine, then what do you propose I do in the meantime, sit and wait to starve? Where's the money I grabbed? I swear if you took it-"
"I have it right here chill. You'll get it back when you can walk to come get it." he said, a small smile playing at his lips.
"I can do that right now. Watch and learn stranger." I said, taking one step with my good foot. If only I would have stopped there. I didn't.
I picked up my leg by the brace and tried to swing it forward. Bad idea. Instead of taking a step like I wanted to, I face planted and hit my bad knee on the side of the couch.
"Ouch." I whispered, not wanting to show the stranger my weak side.
Unfortunately, he did hear, and kneeled down to help you up. "You ok?" he asked. I looked up to brush it off and say I'm fine, but when I did the boy smirked, making me look back down red in the face.
'Why did I just blush?? It's just some weird kid...A cute one with brown hair and-WHERE DID THAT COME FROM THE HECK??' I started arguing with myself in my head.
"Hello? Maybe that head cut's worse that I thought..." the boy said, reaching out to touch your hair. Luckily you answered in the nick of time, pushing his hand away and saying that you were fine.
"By the way...who are you?" I asked the boy, who had now gently helped me back onto the torn couch. "Oh right I forgot to tell you...I'm Jaydon. You can call me Jay." he said, giving you a smile so bright he could replace the sun.
"And...who are you?" Jay asked, his eyes glimmering slightly with interest. "Oh...I'm Liv." I say, tugging on my hoodie to make sure that it stayed over my ears. Maybe if I kept them hidden he wouldn't notice...
"I like your wolf ears. Is that something to do with your quirk?" Jay asked before you could fully hide them. "Thanks...and ya they're just part of my quirk." I say shrugging the question off.
"Well, could you show me more about it? I've always been interested in stuff like this, and since you might be here a while maybe you could show me?"
I just nodded. His comment made me wonder how Jay had ended up so sweet after the unimaginable things that must have happened for him to end up here.
"Hey Jay, what happened for you to end up here?" I asked out of curiosity. "Jeez, straight to the personal questions!"
"Sorry! If you don't want to answer it's fine.." I said, feeling embarrassed that I had brung up such a sensitive topic to someone that I just met.
"No it's fine...my mom died and, well, let's just say I didn't really get along with my dad. So I left, found the house that we used to live in as a family, and made it my own. Now here I am." Jay said, fiddling with a string that was coming loose from the side of the couch.
"Oh ok. Sorry for bringing it up...I didn't realize that it would come out so pushy." I mumbled, blushing under my hoodie and looking down at my feet.
"Really, it's fine. I don't mind!" Jay responded, looking up from his string to smile at you. 'Why is he so nice...' I thought, giving Jay a slight smile and then looking back down at my feet.
"Welp, I'm going to go freshen up a bit, you can do whatever you want, I'll be right back!" Jay said, hopping off of the couch and walking into what looked like a bathroom. Makes sense since that's what he left to go find.
(A/N sorry if this was more of a fluff chapter, I'm still trying to figure out what to add to the story! I will have chapter five up tomorrow! See y'all in the next chapter!)
