Chapter 6 part 2!

A/N hey guys!! Sorry I haven't written in a bit I've been kind of busy with Christmas and family stuff, but I'm back writing now! So thanks for sticking with me I'm so grateful for anyone who reads this honestly 😅 didn't think anyone would want to so thanks!! Ok imma start the story now lol

The cold hit hard as I was practically dragged outside from the back door.

"Jay where are we going?? Put me down!"

"Can't sorry we have to get out of here." Jay said while panting heavily.

"Hey are you ok? Maybe we should take a break this brace must be heavy..." I suggested, trying to make sure that he was ok.

"No- I'm fine-" Jay muttered, now clearly out of breath.

"Ok no we're stopping..." I said while holding onto a nearby pole making Jay stop in his tracks.

"Fine- in here-" he said between breaths while turning into an alleyway.

He set me down gently to where I was leaning on the side of a building.

He then bent down desperately trying to catch his breath.

"Ok who were those people." I asked when Jay had finally caught his breath.

"I'm not quite sure with most of them, but the one at the door was my father-"

"I thought you said you memory wiped him??!!" I almost yelled, cutting him off from talking.

"I did!! I don't know what happened...he must have seen something that snapped him out of it before the memory wipe could set in." Jay said with a grim look on his face.

"Well why didn't you tell me that could happen!" I said, careful not to be too loud in case someone was looking for us, which was quite possible.

"I didn't think it would matter ok?! Besides not like I had a choice I couldn't just let you bleed out!" He exclaimed, looking almost hurt.

That snapped me out of it.

"Ok ok I'm sorry!! Didn't mean to hurt your feelings-"

I mumbled the last part, I didn't want him to see anything soft about me.

However unfortunately he heard me.

Jay walked over to me by the wall and put his arm around me.

I flinched but immediately felt bad. I wasn't used to people touching me or even coming close to me, but I knew that Jay wouldn't hurt me so why was I so on edge?

He backed away but I grabbed his wrist gently.

"S-sorry I didn't mean to flinch..." I muttered, looking down at my feet. Oh great did I just stutter?! Please say he didn't hear that...

He walked back over to me. I think he heard it....

"It's okay I'm just glad you know I won't hurt you!" He said. I looked up and he was smiling at me.

I blushed and looked away so that he wouldn't see my face turning bright red.
