(Before writing AN- I can already tell this is going to be a long chapter. Future me, answer these questions when you're done writing.
1. Did you finish tonight or during school the next day? Or later?
2. When did you get to sleep tonight?
3. Was I right about it being a long chapter?
4. Why are we doing this instead of our English assignment?)____________
As the counter came closer to zero, everyone started to sit in their seats yet again. Some people were still a bit shaken after the last reaction. A few were wondering what would be their next reaction. Midoriya's quiet mumbling filled the room with empty noise. Tsu again got his attention when she noticed Bakugou starting to get more agitated with it. Midoriya thanked her and went back to his notes.
Eri was playing a game with Mirio, and Shinsou watched them interact. He would never tell Mirio and Midoriya just how grateful he was for them saving his now younger sibling. Ever since joining the family, her eyes seemed to grow brighter. She grew more animate as days grew on. She was no longer cowering at certain things, didn't struggle as much to ask for help.
Now that she knew and fully understood that she was allowed, she let her curiosity of the world around her take over. She asked asked many questions. Mostly to those closer to her, but the other day she had tentatively asked Bakugou about the different spices he was using. He grumbled about it but answered her anyways.
Shinsou looked on as he watched her yet again beat Mirio in a rather intense game of rock-paper-scissors. She smiled at him, eyes filling with joy. Mirio overdramatically acted heartbroken, putting a hand to his head and falling over, making Eri giggle.
Shinsou looked over his shoulder to see his dad peeking at the two over his scarf. He would deny it, but Shinsou was sure that the grumpy man had a slight smile on his face. Shinsou realized that he himself also had a small smirk that creeped its way onto his face.
The two made eye contact and quickly looked away for each other. Yamada, who watched their exchange chuckled and turned his head back to the screen. By now everyone was back in their seats as the timer on the screen inched closer and closer to zero.
He would never admit it, but he was a bit nervous. He was sure that everyone was, being in a whole new place that says it will expose everyone's secrets. Not his favorite kind of day that's for sure.
He has a bad feeling in his gut. He was sure Aizawa felt the same way with the way he kept glancing around the room, especially in the area of the villains. Shinsou couldn't blame him.
He was sure that this would be a very knowing experience. He wasn't exactly excited, more of a movie curiosity. What exactly will this godawful screen show? Based on the last reaction it seemed there would be no sugarcaoting in the slightest.
Shinsou watched as the timer counted down seconds. Once it did reach zero, everyone was staring at the screen in anticipation. As expected, it switched to an explanation of what they would be reacting to.
"Family"
Shinsou noticed how vague that explanation was. It could be anyone's family. Perhaps there was a reason it was so vague? He had a feeling, but he couldn't put his finger in it.
A few others in the theatre seemed confused as well. Others looked a bit terrified. That was to be expected. Not everyone has the best family situation. He couldn't judge of course. Everything was alright now, but he wouldn't be happy if they showed his past in this. A grimace made its way on his face.
Some others expected it to be about Class 1-A, as they were basically a family at this point.
But it was a bit too vague for any real answers, so everyone just watched the screen load in anticipation and a bit of skepticism. It was only natural, given what they had just seen.
