Same Things

POV: Meredith and Derek are broken up (after 4months of relationship) cause they don't  want the same things.Derek has just finished a long surgery. Meredith walks into the scrub room and ask him a question about a patient.

-"Should I get a CT?" She asked
-"Yeah page me when you get results"

-"thanks" he yelled kinda disappointed cause he already knew that... he wasn't sure but somehow he knew.

POV: It's late at night. Derek just lost a patient. He is angry and tired. He just want to go change and leave the hospital. Meredith is tired too and she  is about to leave . So she goes in the changing room.

-"Hey" he says.
-"I think we should talk" she says
-"Yeah I was thinking about that too"  he was optimistic that she would ask him to be a couple again.
-"you have to stop confusing our personal issues with work and besides we're done so just stop talking to me about us"
Derek was speechless
-"what?" He asked
-"turn around so I can change"
-"oh come on, I've seen you naked hundreds of times"
-"now we are not together so can you please turn around, I feel uncomfortable"
Derek saw no reason to do so but he is a gentleman and would never want to make her feel uncomfortable...
So he turned around
-"can I change or should I wait till you leave?" He asked calmly
Meredith paused. She knew that even they were broken up the idea of him half-naked wasn't easy. Though she couldn't do anything
-"yes of course" she said

They were now both half-naked although he wasn't looking at her. An awkward silence prevailed

-"mer i want you" he said still not looking at her

She didn't say anything. She took a minute and said to herself.
«okay meredith don't do anything, you want him too but it's over, just leave»

He did not hear an answer so he asked her:

He still couldn't hear anything so he turned around.
They are within breathing distance.

POV : after a week where Meredith and Derek had only talk about work they see each other at the parking lot at 20:00 o'clock

-"Hi" he says kinda loud because they were 3 cars apart.

-"that's how, cause if you didn't you would have stopped me and you didn't because you miss me, and I miss you a lot, so can we just stop being idiots and be together?!"
She was looking at the floor

He lifted her head from her chin with his hand, he looked her blue eyes and smiled

-"Derek I can't have the same conversation over and over. I am asking you a question do you wanna be with me yes or no"
-"of course but I can't wait forever, I'm getting old and I want a family"

-"I think you should go" she said with her eyes almost ready to cry while she was looking at the window"

He gets up he put his clothes on and he leaves while Meredith is crying quietly
