When I found her it was insanely quiet. It seemed like everything had stopped. There was no sound, no movement, nothing. She sat on a stump deep into the woods, deep enough to be hidden but still be able to hear the rush of the water. The light seemed to shine on her miserable body curled into a ball. The closer I got the more I saw and the sight was one I didn't want to see.
Her face was just as battered and bruised as the last time I saw her. In the car. The smashed, broken, sabotaged car accident that ruined my life. The way she crashed through that window. Her face. It's all too much for me to handle. I can't relive that nightmare.
"Tenley, help me. I need you now." I looked up to find her staring right at me. The blood still fresh on her face, she looked like she had stepped straight from a horror movie. I couldn't speak. I didn't know what to do. When it comes to my loved ones in pain I can never seem to help them, my body just shuts down.
I closed my eyes and thought to myself, 'what would Briar do?' It took me a while to start focusing again but once I was calm and collected I started to move. " Scarlett? It's me, Tenley, look I need you to breathe for me okay, can you do that?" She started to shake and then breathe. Rough little gasps escaping from her lips until it was too much and she started coughing.
"Okay we'll scratch that, but you have to really focus okay?" She nodded, struggling to cope with the pain of having half a face. "You need to block out all of the pain, now I know it sounds hard but you need to do it, take every ounce of your strength and block it out for just a moment. In that moment you need to imagine your wounds fixing them selves. Imagine the brain in the right place, the bone growing back together, the flesh protecting that bone, and the skin regaining coverage. Imagine the old you Scar, forget the new scars and remember the old."
Next thing I knew she was looking into my crying eyes and smiling. "I knew you'd find me Ten, you always do."

"Tenley! Did you find her? She can't be to far away, I mean we can look again tomorrow if you want-" the mumbling fool turned around to find Scarlett and I smiling at him. Her smile exuded trouble, she new Xavier and I were in love and she knew she could mess with that.
"Don't even think about touching my guy." I turned around and pointed a finger towards her. "He's mine and mine only." Xavier walked up behind me and placed his hands on my hips. His hands were cold. I missed their human warmth. Scarlett laughed in my face. "As if! I just like to stress you two out. Hello Xavier, long time no see!"
She seemed to forget about the scene before in the woods, returning to her obnoxiously annoying self. " and I thought I missed you." I spoke under my breath.
"Hey now missy!" Xavier scolded. "Don't be rude to your dead little sister, she's been looking out for you." Scarlett folded her arms and smiled evilly. "Yeah, you couldn't have solved this mystery without me because you're to scared to lay down and dream a little." That is where I draw the line."Did you want me to just leave you in the woods! Because the way you're acting now seems like you would rather be crying throughout the little fit to oblivion!" Xavier took a step away form me and looked at me horribly. Scarlett looked disappointed. "What happened out there Tenley?" Xavier asked too many questions.
"Nearest to death a little ghost can get."And then I was gone.
