"Saint... you ready to go" I yelled loud enough for him to hear. I didn't have any work until later so I wanted to take Saint to school.

"I'm coming" I heard as he came the stairs. I grabbed my keys and waited for him at the door.

"Your 5... what could you be possibly doing to get ready" I asked amusingly. By the way he gets ready, you would have thought he was going to some big party, but no... he's just going to kindergarten.

"Mommy... it's takes a lot to look this good" he said dusting off his shoulder.

(Saint's Outfit)

"Saint.. I'm the one who picked out your clothes. All you did was put the clothes on" I chuckled as I gave him his backpack.

"Mommy stoppp.... I put the clothes on all by myself" He whined as he put on his bag. I chuckled as he pouted.

"Let's just get you to school" I said opening the door and just as I was about to lock it, I realized he didn't have his lunch box. "Hold on Saint. I forgot your lunch. Say right here and do NOT talk to strangers" I said walking back inside.

I grabbed my duffel bag and headed out to practice. As I was walking down the hall, I saw a little boy standing outside a door. I continued to walk towards the boy and he just looked around.

He turned and looked at me and his eyes widen. Maybe he recognizes me from basketball games. "You finally came. I knew you would" he said smiling widely. He ran up and hugged my legs, since he only reach that far. He pulled back and looked up at me and he was really adorable.

"wait-.. what do you mean, you knew I would com-"

"Saint.. what did I tell you about talking to strangers like" a familiar voice said behind me.

"He's not a stranger.... that's daddy. He finally came" he said excitedly and everything froze.

'What did he sayyy'

I turned around to find Egypt stuck in place with a lunch box in her hand. I could relate. I haven't seen her in 5 years, what was I supposed to say.

She looked slightly different from when I saw her last. Seeing her online and in real life is too different things. The only difference, she looked even better in person

Now I know why the kid looked so familiar... He's Egypt's son.

"Umm... what do you mean I'm your dad" I asked carefully. I didn't have any kids as far as I know of.

"Your my dad" he simply said. "I don't really know how else to answer that"

"Umm... Saint it's time to get to school" Egypt said brushing past me. His name is Saint. I wanted to name my son that, if I ever had one.

"E... why is he saying he's my son" I asked stopping her movements.

"Saint, sweetie, go wait by the elevator and don't talk to anyone" she told him as he followed her directions. I looked at him as he waited.

Egypt came right up to me and slapped me. "What the fuck E" I said holding my cheek.

"You do not have to right to call me E anymore. Only  friends call me that... and I hate to burst your bubble but we are not friends or anything for that matter. And don't ask surprise like you didn't know Saint was your son. So cut the shit. Now if you excuse me I have to take MY son to school" she said turning to walk away but I grabbed her arm and pulled her back, making her crash into my chest.

"What the fuck are you talking about 'don't act surprised'. How the fuck else am I going to react finding out I have a son that you didn't bother to tell me about" I spat angrily but kept my voice low so Saint didn't hear.

"Let go of me" she said yanking her arm from my grasp. She quickly walked away and went to the elevator pressing the button aggressively. The elevator door opened and they both got in. I quickly sprinted up to the elevator, catching it before the doors closed

"So daddy where you going" Saint asked after I got in. It felt weird having someone call you their dad.

"Umm... I'm going to basketball practice" I answered looking down at him. "Saint how old are you"

"I'm five" he said putting up four fingers. I chuckled lightly and bend down to his level.

I fixed his fingers to show five fingers. "This is five... your were putting up four before" I corrected. I stood back up and he held onto my hand as the elevator doors open to the garage. This feels weird.

We all walked out and Saint was still holding on to my hand. "Daddy after school.. can we get ice cream please" he asked giving me puppy dog eyes. I looked up at E.

"If that's ok with you mom" I said looking up at her. If this was my son, I wanted to get to know him.

"Please mommy" he said giving her the same look. She glare at me.

Why is she upset, when she's the one who kept him from me?

"Fine.. but we're gonna have to after I finish in the studio which is around the time Mari drops of Saint" she said looking at her phone to check the time.

"I guess we have to exchange number so I can let you know when I'm there" I said and she hesitantly nodded, handing me her phone and I gave her mine.

We exchanged numbers and bid I goodbyes but Saint didn't want to say goodbye.

Getting into my car, I just sit and think.

I have a fucking kid that I didn't even know about. I pissed off that E didn't tell me.

'But why didn't know about him sooner?' I thought I as started my car and drove off.

I can't fucking believe I have a son and I missed out on everything. I wasn't there for his birth, or his his first word, or his first steps.

I feel like a deadbeat and I hate it. My dad was a deadbeat and vowed to make it my life goal not to be one. Egypt basically cut me out his life without giving a damn about how I feel.

How do I even begin to make up for lost time?
