Outside the Xiao Long-Rose Family Home, Yang spray paints her robotic arm and half of Ember Celica bright yellow. After doing so, she walks to the toolshed and removes the tarp covering her motorcycle named Bumblebee. As she readied Bumblebee, Taiyang approached her.

Taiyang: I don't remember saying that you were ready.

Yang: Oh yeah? You're gonna try and stop me?

Taiyang: No. I think I'm still too sore after our last fight. I just wanted a better goodbye than a letter. And, I also have a question for you. Where are you going?

Yang: What do you mean?

Taiyang: Well, despite asking him numerous times not to, I know that Qrow told you where your mother's been at these days. I know how much you wanna see her. I've stopped you in the past, but I won't anymore. And we both read the note. We know your sister's headed to Mistral. So, where are you going?

As Taiyang asked his daughter that question, Yang was silent. It was clear to him where his daughter was going.

Taiyang: I thought as much. I hope you know what you're getting yourself into.

Yang: I have to, Dad. I have to find out why she left.

Taiyang: I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. But I understand that you want answers. But I wish you didn't go alone.

At that point, Huyang along with Gungi and Byph intervened.

Huyang: And she won't, Mr. Xiao Long. We will accompany Miss Xiao Long on her mission.

Yang: This is personal.

Byph: We understand, Yang. But we want to help you.

Gungi: <The last time I left your side, you lost an arm. I left you when you needed me the most. I will not allow that to happen again. I made a vow to you, Yang Xiao Long. I swore a Life Debt to you. Until the Life Debt is fulfilled, I will fight by your side no matter what.>

As Gungi said this, Yang could see just how much the Life Debt meant to Gungi. She could see that Gungi was ready to fight and possibly die for her. While Yang didn't want anyone dying for her, she knew that Gungi would follow her regardless.

Huyang: As your father said, you still have much to learn. While your fighting abilities seemed to improve, you still need training over controlling your emotions. Now I have taught many students before you and I will continue teaching many students after you.

It didn't take long for Yang to compare Huyang with Doctor Oobleck. The way Huyang was passionate about teaching was all too familiar. Yang then looked to her robotic arm.

Huyang: I understand your need to see this through. Though it would be considered unwise to do this alone.

Yang: Is that right?

Byph: We want to help you, Yang. That's why we came here. It's not just Gungi who wants to help you. We all do.

As the two Jedi made their case to Yang, Gungi looked upon the necklace that Velvet had given him. In the days since her departure, Gungi began to miss her. Despite his feelings for Velvet, he had an obligation to not only his fellow Jedi of the Kybuck Clan, but to the Life Debt he swore to Yang.

Gungi: <Wherever you go, I will go to. I will not fail you, Yang Xiao Long.>

Yang: You don't owe me anything, Gungi.

Gungi: <But I do. You saved my life back at Beacon. In my culture, I am obligated to fulfil a Life Debt. Until the Life Debt is repaid, I swear to watch over you and protect you with my life.>

Yang took a moment to think on this. While she wanted to find her mother alone, she also knew that Gungi would be by her side whether she liked it or not. Soon enough, Yang smirked.

Yang: All right, Gungi. Though how are you going to keep up with me? Bumblebee's only got one seat and I doubt she'll be able to carry all three of you.

As Yang lets out a chuckle, Gungi and Byph quickly realized the predicament that they were in. They had no mode of transportation and they knew full well that they along with Professor Huyang would be too heavy for Bumblebee.

Huyang: Well then, Miss Xiao Long. That does put us in quite an awkward position.

Taiyang: How about you take that old motorcycle over there?

Huyang along with Gungi and Byph then lay their eyes on an old motorcycle.

Taiyang: Never really found the time to use it. Might as well give it to someone who will.

Huyang: Thank you, Mr. Xiao Long. You are quite the generous man.

Taiyang: Don't mention it. I owe you and your students, Professor Huyang. You helped my daughter get back on her feet.

Huyang placed his hand on Taiyang's shoulders.

Huyang: We only pushed her in the right direction. You give yourself too little credit, my friend. As her father, you deserve the most credit. You must be very proud of how far your daughter has come.

Taiyang then glances over to his daughter. A sense of pride began to swell within Taiyang.

Taiyang: More than you know.

Gungi: <I promise on my life and my honor as a Jedi that I will keep your daughter safe. As long as I am by her side, no harm shall come to her.>

Taiyang: I have no doubt you will. I'm sure Yang will watch your back as closely as you watch hers.

Yang: Can we get a move on? We're losing light. Gungi. How about you ride with me?

Gungi: <Understood.>

As Gungi got on Bumblebee with Yang, Huyang and Byph walked over to the motorcycle. As Byph got on, Huyang had a flashback of his escape from Grievous on Florrum in which R2-D2 piloted the pirate skimmer.

Huyang: I think I should drive.

With that, Huyang took control of the motorcycle as Byph got on. After that, the two motorcycles then rode away from the Xiao Long-Rose Family Home.

Taiyang: Stay safe, my little Sun Dragon.

In that moment, Gungi and Byph along with Huyang joined Yang in her search for her mother. The Jedi would follow her lead and act as her body guards as well as her protectors.
