Girl meet Ski Lodge Part 1.2

Ari POV:
We eventually make it to the ski lodge but as we are getting down from the bus Riley of course falls and hurts her ankle. How did this happen, yeah I have no clue either.
Lucas goes to help me grab my stuff but I quickly tell him to help Maya with taking Riley inside so she can sit down and get off of her foot. I go look for my bag before grabbing it and making sure I had all my stuff especially my new wolf that Lucas gave me.
Once I have everything the rest of the gang and I make our way inside of the lodge.
"When's the first nature hike dream boat?" Smackle asks going up to the guy I now know as Riley's uncle Josh.
"Smackle do you even know who this is?" Farkle asks her as I take my phone out before seeing if I have any signal. Once I see that I have 1 bar I text my mom letting her know we arrived before putting it away.
"He's Maya's boing" she answers making me laugh.
"Then why'd you calm him dreamboat?" Farkle asks.
"Look at him" Smackle and I exclaim at the same time to make a point. I might love Lucas with everything in me but he is pretty cute just not my type.
"Ari!" Lucas exclaims coming up and wrapping his arms around me.
"I'm kidding bubs, I love only you my charming" I reply before going to kiss his lips.
"I love you too my angel" he responds after we pull away.
"Okay, while Cory and Topanga are checking us in, let me welcome you all to Mount Sun Lodge, where we are here to turn our thoughts away from our indoor relationships and towards our relationships with the outdoors." Josh says changing the subject of everyone's conversation.
"Yeah, I don't think so, Cub Scout." Zay says looking around.
"You brought them here on Couples Weekend?" Topanga asks Mr.Matthews.
"Of course I did." He replies causing me to giggle. "Nature Sez: Tree's A crowd." Zay reads the sign.
"Huh." Riley mutters.
"Moonlight Walk: Triangle Trail." Smackle reads next.
"Huh." I mutter.
"Riley, Ari, Lucas: Enough Already!" Huh." Farkle reads the sign after writing on it quickly.
"I thought it was a square?" I ask confused.
"I dropped out of it, therefore it's a triangle now" Maya responds.
"Ahhhh ok" I say nodding my head.
"Why was that what you were worried about?" Lucas asks me.
"Might as we'll worry about this instead of tomorrow" I say quietly causing him to smile sadly before wrapping me in his arms again as we walk over to sit down.

Lucas POV:
"How was it?" Riley asks after we all walk back in from the hike.
"Oh, just like you'd think. Farkle wandered off the trail, and Maya broke the rules and went after him." I respond thinking about the hike and my girlfriend. Poor Ari she was remembering all of the times her and her dad went hiking and it got her sad so she hung out in the back of the group for some alone time.
"Maya, you broke the rules?" Riley asks happily.
"Yeah. She always breaks the rules, but this time, she could have been killed. It's like you never know when to stop." I say frustrated.
"Farkle." Maya says.
"She saved my life." He responds.
"Wait, what happened?" Riley asks completely confused.
"I was chasing a rare Achemon Sphinx Moth for my collection." Farkle replies.
"I have one." Smackle says.
"He was flying around like he was taunting me, and no one taunts Farkle!" Farkle says angrily.
"F-lehh." Smackle mutters to him.
"F-lahh!" Farkle exclaims back. "I grabbed him out of the air, looked him in the eye, and said, "Achemon? (Scoffs) Ache-mine!"
"Now tell them what really happened, honey." Smackle says patting his back and I see Ari finally walk in and give me a small smile making her her way towards me.
"He tricked me. He flew over there, and I went after him and slipped off the edge of the trail. I was hanging on by a tree branch. I was hanging by my fingertips." Farkle explains the story.
"Maya tears off, jumps up, and saves him." Zay finishes.
"What were you doing?" Riley asks me now.
"I was saving Smackle." I respond.
"What happened to you?" She asks.
"I was all, "Help, Lucas. Help." Smackle answers.
"All while Farkle was hanging from a tree?" Riley asks her.
"No, every chance I get." Smackle answers her.
"Where were you Ari?" Riley now asks.
"I was in the back of the group. I'm really out of it this week I just i don't feel like I can completely process" My babygirl answers sadly as a Zay sends her a small smile and I pull her closer.
"Look lone star just stop being mad and go chill" Maya says walking away as the rest go in the same direction leaving Riley, Ari, and I at the bay window.
"You okay?" I ask Ari but before she can respond Riley answers.
"Yeah I was just sitting here and this leaf blew in. You ever see a color like this. It knew it had to leave the tree and become something else. It knew it was time" Riley says and I'm guessing it's to impress me with her romantic attitude but yeah not feeling it.
"Actually I was asking Ari if she was okay?" I say.
"I'm fine babe. Don't worry about me to much I'm gonna be okay" She responds.
"I'm the one with the bad foot and your worried about her?!" Riley exclaims.
"My father's death anniversary is tomorrow!!" Ari yells back causing Riley to shrink.
"That's it this triangle needs to die right now." Riley says.
"Finally!!!" Ari and I yell before I pull my wonderful girlfriend closer and kiss her lips lightly before we stand and leave as Riley follows us.
"Ok triangle over decision time" Riley says.
"Why won't you pay attention when I say that: I LOVE ARI!" I yell.
"Movie night!" Josh yells walking into the room.
"Yay movies!" Ari says excitedly pulling me to the group.
"I want a spy thriller. Two spies in love with lots of danger." Maya says when we walk up.
"Romance! I wanna cry my eyes out! Boy meets girl, boy stays with girl, nothing bad happens, the end." Riley says crying at the end causing me to look at her in shock.
"I just wanna watch something" Ari shrugs causing me to laugh. "So what we got?"
"Yeah the stories of your life is better than anything here" Josh replies putting them down.
"I have just the thing" Ari says jogging up to her room where she has all the Marvel movies we brought. "Marvel movie time!" She exclaims when she gets back.
"You cant go anywhere without a marvel movie can you?" Zay asks laughing.
"Lucas packed them this time" she replies shaking her head. We cuddle together as Josh puts in age of ultron into the player. Riley attempts to snuggle into the other side of my body but I scoot closer to my girlfriend.
Eventually the movie finishes and we get all look around the room.
"Maybe my dad was right. Maybe we can't decide this" Riley says looking at Ari and I and we both roll our eyes, we are really done with this. "Maybe only nature can, what we do with our human nature. We can control that right?"
"Actually, this brings up an interesting question. Who is in control of your life?" Mr.Matthews asks coming out of the room.
"I am! Now go to bed." Topanga says.
"Lesson over."
"Mrs.Matthews is it okay if I stay up a bit? I just want to think for a bit." Ari asks.
"Yeah just for a little bit though" She replies and Ari walks up holding her wolf cub that I got her.
"You okay baby?" I ask.
"Yeah, I just wanna be alone for a little bit. Goodnight and I love you okay bubs" she replies.
"I love you too princess" I tell her before kissing her lips.
"Hey hey hey, separate" Josh says causing us to pull apart.
"Goodnight baby." I say pecking her lips quickly before going upstairs while she goes to the window.

Ari POV:
"Hey dad" I say after I sit on the window holding my wolf close.
"I wish you were here to give me advice. Is this gonna end soon, I just want Riley to stop with the triangle. I want you here for my quince. I miss you so  much daddy" I whisper. "I want you to hold me and call me your little cub. I want our father daughter hikes. I want you back dad" I say with tears in my eyes, I don't know how long I sit there before a guy comes up with two hot chocolates.
"Thought you could use this" he says.
"Oh thank you but I'm just trying to think" I reply.
"Okay but could you take one of these anyway? Because hot" He says and I take one. "You here with the New York group?" He asks.
"Yeah" I nod looking back outside.
"That's why you like the sky" he says having a realization.
"Yeah I'm from Texas so I just missed it I guess" I respond looking at my cub. I wonder if Luke is asleep, I kinda want cuddles but I won't even be able to sneak into the room.
"I'll tell you a secret" he says "When everyone else has gone upstairs, I sit right where you are and I'll watch this sky too."
"It's amazing" I whisper.
"Yeah and it goes all night"
"Are you flirting with me?" I ask.
"Is it obvious?" he asks.
"Yeah it is and I have a boyfriend who I love so if you would just go. I just need to think and be alone" I say but he just sits there. I ignore him and look back at the sky eventually drifting off to sleep right there with my stuffed wolf cuddled up to my chest and my head against the window.
