Lucas POV:
I continue to talk with Maya for a little bit longer before she leaves to talk with Riley and Josh comes comes over to me.
"We're gonna talk to each other?" I ask him after we sit down.
"Yeah. So you chosen between Ari and Riley?" He asks.
"It was never a choice" I respond looking at him.
"Sooo It's Ari?" He asks and I nod.
"What does it mean that Ari spent all night cuddling with another guy?" I ask Josh.
"It could mean that Ari doesn't love you anymore" he replies causing me to sigh.
"It could mean that?" I ask looking at him sadly.
"Boy, you are insecure for a Western Hero" he says.
"Or it could mean that she just looked like she needed to hug and cuddle someone" the guy says coming over.
"I don't like that you know anything" I say glaring at him. "Now i wonder why you would cuddle her if she was asleep and based on how she's been was probably ignoring you too"
"She looked like she needed the support." He answers.
"She does need it right now" I say sighing.
"And i felt like it was right" he continues and I just shake my head at him as he pulls out a book.
"What that?" I ask him.
"This is a little game we're going to play. It's called the Official guide to who belongs with who."

Ari POV:
"The books gonna tell us?" Riley asks after we all gather around.
"No! I remember that book! That book is evil. The first question is, "if you could change your mate into one animal, what would it be?" And the only answer is, the falcon." Mr.Matthews says looking really scared of the book. Is this what caused their trip here to fall apart?
"How do you know that?" Maya asks him.
"Because I am the falcon." He replies.
"Of course, you are." Riley says looking at him.
"Let's play." Maya responds.
"Let's find out who belongs with who?" I say looking around.
"Don't do it. Nobody do it. No one ever listens to the falcon." Mr.Matthews says as we all sit down to play before Smackle, Farkle, and Zay all come out of the room they were in. "You all deserve what you get." He says walking away.
"Question number one..." the guy starts.
"If you could change your mate into one animal..." Riley starts to say before she gets cut off.
"It's not even the same question." He says.
"Why not?" Maya asks.
"Because this is Who Belongs With Who, The Next Generation. This question's for you guys." The guy says looking around. "The most important part of any meaningful relationship is, A, romance..." he starts to read before being cut off with Riley.
"Yes, romance. Isn't that the whole point of a relationship?" Riley asks the group.
"It says any relationship, it doesn't just mean you guys and Lucas." Farkle points out.
"Yeah, it also means relationships with your friends." Josh explains.
"So if the answer isn't romance, then what else you got?" Riley asks him.
"B, adventure." The guy continues.
"Yes, adventure. Break the rules." Maya says.
"You don't have to break the rules to have an adventure." Lucas says speaking up.
"What do you have against breaking the rules, Ranger Rick?" She asks him.
"That's who he used to be, Maya." Zay answers.
"And it ended up costing him a year of his life. I think maybe he's learned something." I tell her as I look toward him.
"Read the other choice." Farkle says.
"How do you know there is one?" The guy asks him.
"In multiple choice there are always the answers that are close, but then there's the correct answer and as soon as you hear it, you know it's right." Smackle replies.
"And I don't think we've heard the right answer yet, so I know the most meaningful part of any relationship is C." Farkle says.
"One for us. Next question." Smackle says happily causing me to laugh and smile at her.
"Can we please hear what C is?" Lucas asks.
"C, conversation." The guy reads.
"Ding." Smackle says jumping up for a high five but receive a hug from Farkle instead. "Even better. I love these now."
"How come?" Riley asks.
"Because Smackle and I have had so many good conversations now that I think she trusts me." Farkle answers her.
"I do." Smackle says.
"I like these, too." Farkle says as they sit back down.
"So the most meaningful part of a relationship is talking to each other?" Riley asks.
"And with the right person, sometimes you can talk all night. Or you can just relax and sleep in their arms" He says causing me to look at him annoyed while Lucas nods his head over and over.
"Yup, maybe so. Well if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go over there and maybe I don't know, kick a tree" he says standing up and walking out of the lodge.
"Bubs! Lucas!" I yell as tears of frustration begin to fall.
"Will y'all excuse me? I'm going to go over there and I don't know save a tree" Zay says going to follow Lucas.
"Question number two. How do you know if you love somebody?" The guy continues the game.
"You know what? I'm through playing games, I want to talk to you." Maya says.
"Who?" We all asks.
"You" she says before dragging Josh to the window.
"I just need to think. Yeah, I just need to think." Riley says leaving the room.
"Why? Why are you doing this? God I already have to deal with the anniversary and now you're trying to destroy my relationship with the guy I love. I don't even know who you are!" I say getting louder and louder before I run off to my room.

Lucas POV:
"Okay, Huckleberry, Little golden sunshine-head is right. This triangle needs to be put out of its misery and there's only one way to do it." Maya says as she drags me back over to the fireplace.
"How?" I ask.
"Well... We all know you chose somebody. We all know what's the right choice. And we know it's the only choice that you could possibly make." She tells me and I internally smile knowing she really is done liking me.
"We do?" I ask her.
"Sure, we do. We know there's only one of us that can make your cowboy heart go clippity clop and that's Ari." She says and I smile and nod.
"Yeah it is."
"You care about me right, like a friend I mean?" She asks me.
"Yeah, why?" I ask her confused.
"If you care about me, find Ari and tell her you love her. Don't let this guy hurt what you have" she tells me.
"But what if she doesn't want me anymore?" I ask her.
"Please that girl is crazy about you. Go tell her, she loves to hear you say it" Maya says before i give her a quick hug and leave.
I start to look around for her before I end up finding her as she goes to sit in the bay window. I quickly go down the stairs and take a seat next to her.
"My favorite thing in this world is when you talk to me, when you cuddle with me, when I just get to spend time with you" I tell her.
"It is?" Ari asks me.
"I know you didn't want to cuddle with him, and it's okay if you wanna talk to other people, wanna know why? Because I am a secure Western Hero" I say to her before we both laugh.
"Of course you are Luke" she says laughing.
"But I don't like the idea of you cuddled up in someone else's arms, because you my love are mine" I say grabbing her hand.
"Yeah I am, and your mine. Bubs I promise I never wanted that to happen. I told him I had a boyfriend and he totally ignored it and put his arm around me, I ignored him the whole time." She explains to me.
"It's okay baby" I say lifting her onto my lap.
"So is this it? Is the triangle over?"
"Yeah, Maya went to talk with Riley and tell her that she needed to stop" I quickly explain. "I got you something" I say pulling out the little box and she opens it up.
"A wolf charm?" She asks confused.
"It's for your charm bracelet. This represents our square and triangle being over because well wolves mate for life and I plan on being with your forever. I know we went through a lot with this but its done. We can finally just be us without her coming up and having her join in. I love you so much babygirl"
"I love you too Bubs so much." She says leaning in and kissing me passionately causing my arms to go around her waist and pull her closer. "Thank you" she says.
"For what?" I ask resting our foreheads together.
"For making the one day that I hate not hurt me so bad." Sh replies before leaning in for another kiss.
