𝒀𝑶𝑼 𝑺𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑬𝑫 𝑼𝑵𝑫𝑬𝑹𝑵𝑬𝑨𝑻𝑯 𝒀𝑶𝑼𝑹 𝑩𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑻𝑯, scratching through your (h/c) locks as you stared at the worksheet in front of you. You arrived early to your shift this time and decided to kill some time by completing your homework. You were still wearing your school uniform as you twirled the pen around your fingers, trying to figure out your English homework that was annoying to complete. You weren't entirely the best at English and you could feel yourself growing more exhausted by the minute. Staring at these words wouldn't magically become easier to understand, you thought.

You leaned back in your chair, turning your head to see Miho smiling at you from above. "Working on English homework? Do you need some help?"

You blinked twice in surprise, "Huh? O-Oh. . . I don't want to bother you so it's fine."

She hummed, "What are you talking about? I have the same shift as you today so I have some time as well. Plus, I'm pretty good at English so I should be good enough to help you with some of your high school homework."

"I see. . ." You tapped your pencil against the table as Miho slid into the chair in front of you. She carefully shuffled over towards your side, glancing down at your work while smiling. You awkwardly sat next to her, trying to focus on your work.

"Oh, you made a mistake here," she points out, tapping on the paper with her pointer finger, "You made this lowercase despite it actually being uppercased. It's simple but when you're writing it in this context, it's incorrect."

"Hmm. . . Why?" You asked.

"Because when you write it like this," Miho skated her fingers over your paper, "It's like you're ending a sentence. As I said, it's small but it makes a difference in writing. My English teacher told me that it's a stylistic preference if you space out your ellipses."

"Ellipses?"

"They're those three dots that are periods that you usually use when you're trailing off. There isn't a right or wrong way to write it if you think about it, but some professors can be strict on how you do it." Miho stifled a chuckle, "Back when I first started high school I had a teacher lecture the class about how to format ellipses for two hours. His lesson really stuck in my head at that point."

You raised your eyebrow in surprise, "Two hours? Isn't that a bit long for class? He seems really strange to talk about something that small for two hours."

"Right?" Miho groaned, leaning her chin against the palm of her hand, "It was super boring. Nao-chan always complains about English homework and even though he denies it, he still pouts about it all the time."

"Er. . . Is your little brother not going to the same high school you went to? You said he was going to mine next year." You asked, writing down her corrections on your paper as you tilted your head downwards. "Wouldn't it be better for him to go to the same high school as you?"

"Hmm. . ." She hummed. "I thought that for a while but then I realized he should learn on his own. Sometimes it's a bit embarrassing to go to the same school as your sibling."

"Nao-chan gets teased a lot for his short height so having his older sister be there to make fun of him is sort of mean. It'd be pretty bad if a nickname like that stuck all year!" She let out a peal of joyous laughter, holding onto her stomach, "It would be pretty hilarious!"
