Episode 20: We've Had Enough, Time To Move

(One year passes and every emeratz is gathered and studied.)

Trey: What do you have for me, professor?

Micheal: Anyway, it seems that an imbalance is the cause for the emeratz falling into a coma. Get this, the dormant parasite veils them in power when they supercharge their cells. So that black mist is the parasite dying. The shock is so tremendous that it causes the body to shut down to recover.

Trey: How did Hoffman do this?

Micheal: Taking a sample from a live emeratz, it seems he made a completely new generation using DNA from Technas in combination with his. Then used his influence to keep them dormant. This allowed the humans to control the power themselves.

Trey: Nuvia said they were artificial, but you said they are his children.

Micheal: Well they are still synthetic and grown in a test tube first. Mix in his blood and pow, new parasite. But…

Trey: Yeah?

Micheal: There doesn't appear to be a cure at first glance. The damage is tremendous. Removing them causes shock to the body and puts them in a coma. There's no telling how long That coma will last either. They don't seem to need nourishment. Actually, they're kind of in a stasis as well. As far as disease and infection, they're immune. They don't age either, but are susceptible to physical harm.

Trey: Jeez, are they really inferior then?

Micheal: Don't get me wrong, they're far from immortal. A simple scratch, if it could be lethal, could kill them in comatose. 

Trey: Wait, so if a scratch was made on the hand, no death. But a scratch on say, the jugular?

Micheal: Dead.

(Alma bursts into the room out of breath and in a panic.)

Alma: The humans are attacking!

Jey: Hey, back off!

Human: Give us our homes back!

Human2: Freaks!

Human3: Monsters!!

Randy: I'm told they have the entire state surrounded. President gave them the okay.

Leo: The whole state?? Thats crazy!

Kiorra: I'd rather not kill. Let's wait until Trey comes. He has no qualms with it.

Azul: Neither do I. Let's just burn them.

(Trey, Raine, Alma, Micheal, Zellos, Hana, and Raven arrive. Jey's team is positioned on the border of Arizona and New Mexico.)

Jey: Trey.

Trey: Jey.

Jey: What do we do with them?

Trey: I believe I gave an order to kill any hostiles.

Jey: You did...that's not easy on some of us. I have no issue, but a couple of my team does.

Trey: *Sigh* I understand. Frustrating, but I understand.

Alma: To be fair, we have their homes. I still question why we did that.

Trey: A safe haven for the remaining amalgram. I'm sorry we needed a whole state for millions of people from around the world, Alma!

Alma: Ok, ok! You're so heartless, Trey.

Trey: Heartless? You know, I used to be self conscious of what I am, too. Before I was able to join a segregated school, I was picked on and harassed. Only able to run away from the normal human kids. It sounds bad, but segregation saved me from a life of turmoil. I don't like that our society was separated because of what we are. But darn it Alma! Having people like me around gave me comfort! I have disdain for humans because they beat me everyday! Because of non stop teasing! I had enough of it. Humans became trash in my eyes. Their opinions no longer matter. I learned how to fight, and Bolas helped me to become strong. Humans are just jealous, Alma. I will not sympathize with them.

Alma: I...Im sorry.

Trey: My answer will always be to kill them.

(Everyone looks reluctantly at Trey.)

Trey: They show us no mercy.

Alma: We aren't like them, though, right?

Trey: Eye for an eye. We aren't like them, but until we leave, we can't risk them getting any advantage.

Raine: We have to show them we aren't pushovers, right?

Alma: I hate to say it, but you're kind of right. If they had the chance right now, they'd kill us.

Zellos: Let's get this over with.

Trey: Any further objections?

(The others readied themselves to fight.)

Trey: Alright...kill them.

Sargent: They've given the kill order. Show them what we've got.

(Tanks pull out from behind the trees.)

Hana: Mach tanks!?

Azul: Whatever.

(The tanks fired, but Micheal halts all of the shells.)

Micheal: All this time, and you still haven't learned.

(Soldiers flood the field and open fire. Micheal sighs again, halting every bullet.)

Raven: I'm listening to the voices on the wind. The other borders aren't as lucky as us.

Raye: When things don't go right...go left.

(Raye sweeps a group of soldiers with a strong undertow. She then propels herself into the air above them using a burst of water. She turns into a whale and smashes the entire group.)

Randy: The sun may be up, but I think I can still manage.

(Randy creates a ball of energy in his hands and fires it off in a large beam of light that disintegrates anyone within it. Kiorra summons a staff and touches it to the ground. Bubbles spawn and trap a few soldiers. The ground starts to break starting from Kiorra to the soldiers and they fall into a fissure.)

Leo: Hi-ougi.

Trey: Oh? You can do it without having used elemental body five times?

Micheal: Seems anyone can perform it. Though, the ability is just a freedom of expression. It's the peak of our personal power. Here's mine as well; Hi-ougi: Dungam.

(Leo hops over next to Raye and touches his hand to the ground. They lift up via pillars of rock and a ring of mid-sized volcanos fills the area like a bowl.)

Leo: Ring of fire!

(Metal forms over Micheal, then sharpens like robotic armor. He is now able to move at incredible speeds and punches people into mists of blood.)

Micheal: See?

Trey: Ok. How about this? Hi-ougi: Black bane...infernal smite.

(Trey lifts his hand then drops it. Fire falls upon the entire border, killing most of the humans.)

Sargent: Retreat!

Trey: That's what I thought! I've had enough of this. It's time to move.

Alma: Like, actually move?

Trey: You bet. No more humans to bother us.

Alma: Finally!

Raine: It's going to be really nice.

Trey: Yeah it will. Now, let's gather everyone. We've got a big housewarming party to plan.
