The unbreakable bond

Chapter fifteen

I stared at them hugging each other lovingly.

Just like how a son and a mother would hug

Did I hear that right? Chrissy has a son!! And a handsome one at that

They finally acknowledged my presence and Devi to speak up

"Eleanor dear meet my son Rowan"

Me and Rowan both glance at each other,Not knowing what to say in this awkward situation

My eyes fell on the floor.Yet I could still feel his eyes burning on me eating me up

He took this opportunity to use his voice and say"It's a pleasure to finally meet you after hearing so much about you lady Eleanor "

My eyebrows furrowed and i was confused for a second heard so much about me? Did Chrissy talk to him about me perhaps?

I took a glance at Chrissy but she looked equally confused as I am but after a moment she smiled like she understood what he was talking about

I was about to ask for them to explain but Rowan beats me to it

"Allow me to explain" he said with a chuckle at my probably confused expression

I nodded for him to continue and he did

"I assume that you now know that this lovely woman is my mother?" He questioned

I confirmed his assumptions with a simple nod, eager for him to continue

"One thing you should know is that this isn't our homeland,no but Sathia is" he took a deep breath before continuing like he's afraid of my reaction when he spit the next words "the place you have just escaped from with the help of prince Evan"

Immediately after those words escaped his mouth, I stumbled back getting alerted.

Was this a trap? Was Chrissy's kindness fake? Just a plan to get me back to that awful place?

A hand  Rowans hands gripped my arm and that signaled me to get away and try breaking free I looked at him all I could feel is anger, confusion and felt threatened too

My eyes filled with bravery I didn't know I had stared at his emotionless eyes

The next move was unexpected

Suddenly his mouth came in contact with my ears, his hot breath warming up my ears, he whispered "I'm no threat to you, I give u my word, I'm here to help u survive the kings soldiers are here to capture you and throw you in the same cell that has your beloved Prince Evan"

Words were suddenly forgotten all I could do was try comprehending what the hell was he saying and why did it make my insides burn with fear not for me but for my Evan

"Let's head back to the house and then you can ask any questions you're mind has"

And just like that I stayed silent the whole time, the unfamiliar beautiful views are no longer beautiful to me Evan maybe not here with me but now he lives in my mind
