(Peter's POV)

"Are you sure this is going to work, Mr. Stark?" I asked tentatively, watching him fidget with a control panel.

"Almost completely positive, kid." Hs replied, clearly distracted. He looked up. "What, do you not trust me?"

"Oh, no, no, Mr. Stark I trust you, I really, really trust you, it's just- Aunt May is going to kill me if I don't get home in time for dinner tonight, and I just want to make sure that everything's gonna work out okay."

"Peter, you're going to be fine." Scott assured me, clasping me on the shoulders as he checked over my suit.

"Right. Okay, cool. It's cool. It's all cool. It's just dimensional space travel. What's too difficult about that?" I muttered, doing my best to calm down, though it didn't work.

"Look, if you're not ready, we can send Clint or Scott to do it." Tony reminded me, but I shook my head.

"No. I can do it, Mr. Stark. I can do it." The more I said it, the less it became for him and more of a mantra for myself.

I can do this. I can do this.

I can't do this.

"Remember what you're going to do," Scott lectured, stepping off of the platform. "You're going to go in there for a minute, which will feel like an hour, but instead of traveling through time, you're going to travel to a different dimension."

"Which one?"

"Earth-502." Scott answered.

"We hope." Mr. Stark clarified.

"Right," Scott corrected. "We hope."

"What's so special about Earth-502?"

"I'm not sure," Mr. Stark said.

"But don't forget, Peter, you can't talk to anyone you know on the other dimension. It could have bad consequences." Scott warned.

"Yeah, yeah I know." I gulp.

"Okay, ready Peter?" Mr. Stark asked, his head down.

"Yup! Yup, I'm all good." I said, my voice way too high.

Why is my voice so high?

"Are you sure?" Scott asked, noticing my pitch.

"Yes!" I replied, my voice almost a yelp. I swallowed. My heart was beating way too fast.

"Okay, on the count of three," Mr. Stark yelled. "One, two-"

Before I knew it, I was flying through the air. I screamed loudly, my hands and legs flailing as I did so. Usually, I was in control of my "flying," but not this time.

"OH MY GOD!" I screamed, continuing to fall. I felt a pinch and looked over at my arm, seeing my wrist thing power down. "No, no!" I shouted, and finally, I stopped falling.

I tumbled to the floor, groaning. I stayed on the floor for a moment, clutching as much as my body as possible. I slowly sat up, looking around.

I had landed in a heap of clothes, which broke my fall. I looked around quietly, trying not to panic. There was a dresser with a bunch of pictures on it, posters on the walls, and a bed.

Uh oh.

A bed with someone sleeping in it.

This is not going to end well.

I scrambled to my feet, much dizzier than I expected to be. I looked around the room for a way out, identifying two windows; one closer to the sleeping person and one closer to me.

I decided to go with the latter.

I moved towards the door, stepping over some clothes in a pile on the floor. I knocked into something, yelping in pain and covering my mouth with my hand immediately after.

The person in the bed moved a little and my eyes widened, turning back around.

"This is not good, Peter, this is not good..." I muttered, tapping the device attached to my hand furiously in an attempt to get home.

Panic sank in and I was unsure, stepping over more clothing closer to the window. I dodged a particularly sharp object on the floor, moving around it.

My device slipped off my wrist suddenly and I groaned, turning around to find it in the heap of clothing on the floor.

Someone's behind me.

I whipped around to see a girl, probably around my age, her eyes closed with a pillow in hand. She swung downwards towards me and I knocked the pillow out of the way.

"Don't hurt me!" She turned away from me, her hands covering her head.

"What?" I looked at her, suddenly confused. "Why would I- I'm not going to hurt you!" Carefully the girl opened one eye, looking me over.

Who is this girl?

And more importantly - where am I?

Good job, Peter. You've really done it this time.
